Thread: The CU has come and gone, does anyone here think layers are actually worth making?

I agree, though like i said, all the resources need to be real good to get anywhere near the max cap. If the expense for that extra 5 or 10% can be justified in double or more the end user price and it sells, great.

Getting 6800/4800/5800 odd from advanced 6400 segs. With the best god awful resources at the moment, a 70% cap on layeredisnt getting me even to that.

I don't think so, giving the fact that 1000 Layers are only good for making 7.5 suits of armor. That translates into roughly 1 week of factory time PER FACTORY to make 7.5 suits of layered armor!!!!!

I also don't think it's fair to the consumer to guess at the armor resist %'s... why do we have this 4 digit resist system?

So many of my customers ask me, "what the hell do the numbers actually mean?". When I tell them there is 3.5% difference between 7000 resists and 8000 resists and only 7.5% between 7000 resists and 10000 (which you can only reach with energy layered armor plusa PSG), a lot them mock the devs for even putting in this lame 4 digit system.

I mean, it would take what ONE LINE OF CODE to convert the the 4 digit numbers into xx.yy % wouldn't it? (where xx are the integer resist %'s and yy are the tenths and hundreths resist %'s)

It's bad enough that the devs and coders for SOE are obviously inept, consideringthe number of bugs STILL in-game and those introduced with each new publish (respec window, cough cough), but c'mon, we had %'s before... lets bring them back.

well I sell non-layered armor for 170k a suit, and layered for 1.5 million a suit, I can't stay stocked on Layered. PvP'ers will use whatever gives them the edge, even such a small percentage like what layers add.

i just make it for my alt and my friend.... because i want the best possible for her.

i dont normally sell layered to customers unless they ask for it.. and if i do i usually pass it along to the other guild AS. All my customers seem content with unlayered armor for a cheap price.
