ah... well, thanks for your advice, but I"m staying carbineer. My primary classes are artisan and architect, so I can not go up BH, or all the way up Carbine.

well to start with you cant got tkm/master brawler/creature handler. cause you have to master scout for creature handler
since you are thinking about medic have you given any thought to TKM/master medic/master doctor???
you can buff yourself when ever you need too and heal your self in battle also but if your going tkm you only need the doctor for buffing yourself since tkm's can heal themsselves with meditative

I'd also go with master fencer and tkm for the defence from fencing.

I prefer the TKM/Doc template. You don't get the defense of some of the other templates, but you can buff youself on demand, heal mass amounts of damage and cure poison, disease, dizzy, stun, etc...and that makes up for the lack of defense. Not to mention the money you can make buffing other people.

well... i would go for the tkm/fencer... but... if there was another chioce... tkm/master doctor would be mine,
might be a tough and dull road.. but very worth it!

Templates all come down to trade-offs and how you like to play, I think.
I went TKM, Doc 4440, Fencer 3000 and I like being able to heal all states/poisons/disease in combat. With clothes and bivoli, I can buff myself on demand for just over 2K and while I haven't taken to buffing others, it is nice to know that money maker is there. That all works for me because I play strictly solo PvE for about 90 minutes a night. I'm willing to give up the skill points for the Doc stuff so I don't have to kill 30 minutes each night (1/3 of my usual playing duration) traveling to a crowded spaceport, putting up with the lag, and getting buffed by someone else.
The biggest question for you, IMHO, is whether or not you go out in a group frequently or not. If you do group, then you can probably use your skill points more efficiently than getting Tracking 4 yourself. If you don't, though, and you really want to go after Jedi you don't have a choice.
If you don't go Tracking 4, the comparison to the other two come down to the defenses (and I believe non-kinetic damage types) that you can get with Fencer versus the improved lunge, intimidate, warcry, and berserk you get with Master Brawler. I won't argue that one exept to say that my main frustration with my own template is the kinetic only damage type (although the pre-patch Nym slugthower that does acid damage is handy there).

I am master commando now, but I want another profession to go with it. What is good? I'm thinking pistoleer or smuggler.

If your really interested, log into TC-5 in a few days when elite professions are attainable, and then play areound with templates until you find something you like.
