Thread: a little help
options
1. group.
2.have really good combat skills and tank for your pets.
3. go with the disposeable pets. (best bet)
4. goto like talus walk from one starport to the other kill everything in sight thats not a baby

In my opinion 2 weak monsters are the best way to go, I have very little luck finding babies these days as opposed to when I used to play.
I use 2 Cu Pas usually and go around slaughtering newbie areas. Sometimes I also use a Cu Pa and a more powerful monster to slaughter tougher monster to get more exp for the Cu Pa

Unfortunately that method does not work any more. You can still have 2 pets out but will only get the XP for one of them.
I'm not sure if the baby trick works anymore either. I thought XP was calculated using the adult CL of the pet you are using?
Also, if I am using a lower CL and a higher CL pet in tandem, which one determines the XP amount? I can't really test this myself since I'm maxed. Anyone have any info?

Well my game must be borked... I still get 2 sets of exp most of the time unless one is much more powerful
You may get 2 sets, but added together, are they double the amount you get with1 pet, or is each amount 1/2? The patch notes said that you would get XP divided by the number of pets you have. So, 3 pets x 100xp = 1 pet x 300xp.
Perhaps test it out and see if you get the same amount with one pet, or if you get 2x cuz originally you get 1/2 per pet.
Keep in mind it's situational, and you can't just run about mindlessly spamming fanshot and be successful, you need to create combat situations in which fanshot is beneficial.
your specials are situational (granted, as pistoleers that means we get 2 situations: fan shot or --insert any other semi-functional or broken special here--), and as such, you want to create tactical situations where you can take advantage of your strengths.
It will be different for someone with CH and someone with out CH.... it will be different if you group or solo... The stickies at the top of the page have a wealth of good info. If you haven't already been thru them I suggest you take an hour or so.
