In theory the refined packs shouldnt affect saber, the stats of the resources doesnt affect the end result so its all down to assembly roll, i try and get a good roll but other than that i focus mainly on the saber itself.

Knight type = faction therefore you go whichever faction relates to your knight status. Not sure what happens to remaining fp but id guess theyd just sit there.

Didnt quite get that.

Are you saying -that I can go ex Light jedi, even though i am (prior to starting the trials) an IMP?

Remember ? In the beginning, you only needed a fistfull of mastered professions to unlock. But people were too lazy. Then the number was increased - silently, but people noticed anyway. Yet some were too lazy. Then they were all waiting for p10, because they would get a Jedi for free without no work at all. But they were wrong. And now they are wondering that it didn't get any easier. It's just the same old wolf with a new fur, but even sharper teeth. Yet they close their eyes, hoping for the impossible....

P.S.: One word of advice: The more Jedi, the harder devs will make it for new ones. Caljostro

1: Crafting Saber (experiment)

I do not have the FS crafting line - however i do use bespin port (+10 to nextexperiment roll) and craft in a research centra (+10? to the final experimental roll)

What is the "best" way to experiment? - fill all points and do one big experiment? - or doing one point at a time? (thus needing to drink more bespin port) - or does it really dont mather? (I never played a crafter - otherwise I would prob knew this)

2: Redifined Crystal component
These cant be experimented on - but when you make them - you can get anything fro "porley assembled" to "amazing assembled" - does the assembling have any impact on the saber to come? - I did a small test with 2 amazing assembled crystals, compared to 2 great ones - and did not see any diffrence

3: Jedi Knight
I know that you are supose to choose side in the knight trials (reb/imp) - but does your current faction mather?.
I have a very possitive IMP faction right now - but thinking of going light jedi (when and IF i ever get to knight) - can i do this with -10k rebal faction??

Cheers

1\ Well I'm not sure, from what I have been told jedi crafting don't fall under the same rules as normal crafting. So the FS crafting won't matter much if that is true.

The best way to experiment depends on if you want to push your luck or not, with putting all the points in in one roll is risky (you either hit or miss) but again if you do it one point at a time then you can have amazing success until the last one and that can ruin your work if it fails. So it's a personal call, I tend to work on the percentage risk meter on the right.

2\ From personal Experience I don't think it matters much might be a different case on the high end sabers 4th gen or whatever. But low level it doesn't seem to.

3\ Not sure wondering like you, but you can't get -10k only -5k max.. so you either read it wrong, or you got a serious bug.

I read the faq and didnt see an answer to my questions. If they are there and i missed them please post a link to it.

1. Do the stats on normal classes (fencer/tka/etc) work once your jedi? Like melee and range defence.

Yep. Anything in your template gives you the corresponding skill mods.

2. Are you able to change your non force sensitive classes while jedi? If not when is your last chance to do so?

Not Jedi yet, so don't know for certain. I'm pretty much positive that at any time you like, Jedi or not, you can train in any profession you like. All that is required is you dedicate 24 skill points to FS skills to have your Jedi. If you want a new FS skill, you must unlock and fill up that branch with xp, then drop the extra FS skills you don't want.

3. Can you use abilitys of regular classes when your a jedi. Like tka's force of will.

Yep.

Again if there answers to these allrdy posted somewhere im sorry but i didnt see them in the stickys and didnt feel like digging through old post for hours.

It's ok, the search function on these forums kinda sucks.

Good luck with the grind.

First, I have a set of Composite Armor from when I cancelled over a year ago. On right-clicking it, it gives the option to 'Refit' to Battle or Recon armor. Does all armor offer this or is it because this set is Pre-CU?

Second, said Composite Armor set mostly successfully transferred to the new system, however, the gloves and boots did not. The gloves and boots have no stats on them at all. Is this intended or is it a bug?

Third, did they ever fix the armor hole? It's been long enough... see the topic here.

To your first question, this is because the set is Pre-CU, it was the Devs way of saying. "Welcome back from the almost two day down time, we've changed everything and you can't use your armor or weapons that you spent a small fortune on. Oh here we'll throw you a bone and let you use your armor I guess."

Answer for secound question "Working as intended."

Third I beleive the hole was fixed, but at least now you can actualy wear a full suit of Comp armor without needing buffs or completelt reajusting your stats.

Do new boots and gloves have protection? I was looking at the armor section on the main page and for armor it listed everything but those. I just want to know whether I'm missing protection that I could have or if I'm wearing as much armor as possible.

Boots and Gloves are no longer hit zones. This is because Wookies and Trandoshans can't wear these items for racial reasons. Therefore the need for protection in these zones became not needed and the armor pieces are only needed to complete the set.
