Here is what is meant by most:

All loot drop and 95% of the quest rewards have been moved to bio-link or just tradeable. The few exceptions are the pre-order/retail rewards, the Chu-Gon Dar Cube, items from the Lair of the Crystal, and a few other "special" items found throughout ToOW. The cube loot pieces that were no-trade are being shifted to being tradeable...they will not be in this update, but will be in the next. Cube schematics will still be no-trade, although the parts that make them will be tradeable. Crafters who want these schematics will need to get a cube and collect the pieces in order to make them. Loot/Quest reward schmatics will be tradeable.

Note: Loot collected prior to this patch will still show up as No Trade, but any new loot gained will not.

Thank you for all your feedback.

Forgive me but how is that better? Oh, as for waiting to see how it ends up at release, that's what I said about the CU.

The only real problem this system has is that from the sound of it, the cube itself is hard to get. As a weaponsmith/armorsmith, I have no problem having to buy the loot components I need to put into the cube to get the schmatics I want, but I don't want to have to organize a combat group to play nurse-maid to me, just so that I can get the cube in the first place. Personally, I'd say make the cube a super simple thing to get, and make the components you put into it the hard things to get.

yeah not like the crappy crystal knife schematic weaponsmiths can get from the wookiee expansion. That's way down half way to the bottom of the mydrill caverns past all those CL 30-40 NPCs. That would bite the average pure crafter in half in no time.

original post: Crafter had to loot everything himself, grouping with combat toons because everything was not tradeable

my post: Crafters can buy the loot from combat toons and get the schematics

so......you don't have to take your crafter out to combat, and can buy stuff with your hard earned cash instead of pretending to by a combat toon and taking a lvl 1 dude out trying to loot stuff.

I think that is better

Scuse this is better than just being given new schematics, or being a permanently learned schematic set..... how?

It's good they shifted most of the stuff to tradeable but this still means I can't get the schematics produced from this horadric cube w/o the expansion. I didn't bother to get Kash for my crafter, now I feel forced to get this one if it weren't that I have no idea what kind of schems will be available.

I didn't expect to get anything for free to begin with so I'm not gonna whine about schematics, the horadric cube thingie on the other hand is pure non-star warsy. Why this silly thing devs? Why?

Skinny wasn't saying it was better than that. He clearly said that the update to the post was better than the original post. And his main point was that the thread's originator didn't bother to read the whole thread that he was quoting... something that seems to be contagious.

actually, I was referring to the DEVS rather than anyone here. Since I cant post or read in that thread its kinda hard to know whats goin on. If I'm forced to get the expansion just so I can get a scrap of any new schematics well then I may just stay retired at that point for all I care.

I see. I thought the original one was saying you couldn't trade the final schematics but the components to make them, you could. If that wasn't the case, that is better... still pathetic but better.

you couldn't trade componets or schematics before, now you can trade the componets to make the schematics

The cube is very easy to get.

The loots for the cube are tradeable

the final schematic from the cube is no-trade.

Now on the grounds of we don't know what makes AS schematics I get the feeling there will still be a lot of people testing this out and ending up with schematics they can't use and then destroy.

I for one am glad my combat toon and crafter are on the same account so I can do the cube quest with both and loot with my combat toon and just hand all cube resources over for crafting purposes.

Having the only crafter in my guild of about 15 is going to be a big bonus as i'll jsut get all the cube resources handed over for testing and crafting purposes
