If you met Blix, you would see exactly why. He is not very friendly, shows little care for the opinions of other people, and seems to have a relatively low regard for players in general when they have a thought to share. The best thing you can do is leave it be.

As far as his attitude and personality goes, I'm sure Karma will greet him from the blindside, in a time far too soon.

You know we always cut up the everquest staff and their fixes etc.. But after a few month of playing SWG I find myself missing the EQ staff...

It doesnt take more that 30 secs to post no fear of loosing pay there then!, just a little bit of info would be nice...we need some fixes, failing that just to know that something is in the pipe line would be nice, but SOE seem to be woefully inept at customer relations. Yet they can impliment things like Empire day which was a complete waste of time.

Not asking for much is it? just for a wee update as to what the hell is going on. I'm not so bothered as to when we get a fix as long as I know we're gonna get one, atm thats looking doubtful but then thats just a feeling based on no information whatsoever as no one has bothered to tell us anything. Part of me is so temped to say balls to the lot of em, and cancel my accountsbut i'm enjoying the rest of the game to do that. Guess SOE knows this which is why we get left in the dark, that or they simply couldnt give a monkeys.

For christ sake someone speak to us, not too much to ask is it?

But it does however limit us from using one facet of our profession. Enhancers. I don't mean that it's gamebreaking for us, merely that it cuts us off from a way to create our armor. None of the other bugs limit us in that way. That's why I said that it's just bordering on being an "important" bug or not.

But I agree with you in one sense. It hasn't affected me either. However, I do know some people who have a big business in using such enhancers.

I just wish they would stop treating us like little children and start treating this like a business.

I agree, only real point to my post was that we have to understand that not everyone thinks like you do. We don't know Blistex in RL, we have no idea what kind of person he is. Is he an ex-marine SF's that got injured and started doing computer programming cause he loved it and is 1 flame shy of going postal on the forums... or he may be some scraney, people shy computer genius that is working real hard to crack this problem of ours, but has 0 people skills, so he dosen't know how to post. Perhaps he feels his time is best spent fixing and writing code and not "babysitting" the forums (i say that as simply a possible POV)... He may be going through some serious problems in his own Personal life...or perhaps he's abit like me. I love suprises, I love working hard on something for someone, whith no hint of what's going on and then suprising them with this...

Point is we have no idea what's going on with him and his life, we can make assumptions and flame him all day. For whatever reason he does not post, yes we have a right to know. But we also need to realize his job is not to report to us, his job is to write code. Next time you decide to flame a dev, or mod, or Coro... remeber they are peeple too with thier own RL issues to deal with.... Just like you.

Yes, and I've made this point before in RL I'm a programmer and if I fixed things the way they do them here, or prioritized our fixes they way they do here, or our support dealt with customers the way it happens here. We would be replaced. On the rare occasion my code needs to be fixed it gets fixed, tested and works the first and very rarely needs to be fixed again.

The only real power any of us has, is our wallet.

- Change the choice you makeof paying the monthly fee.

Obviously, there are business decisions being made on the direction of the company and who they think the best market is to appeal to. Take a look at what direction the decisions have been taking the game, and you have the answers to the direction of the business decisions.

The "business" looks at market shares and the accounting numbers. Then informs the programmers where to lead the game through coding. If the programmers aren't "on board", they're replaced by those that are. The programmers job performance, aka...pay, is being graded on the completion of business goals.

I would venture to say that most of your "permenant" crafters are on the older end of the age spectrum of the people that play. (In general). There's probably fewer crafters than fighters as well.

So.....if this is true....why would a person counting beans tell the person writing code to appeal to the smaller market share?

Keep in mind, they are hiring as few technical people as needed to keep the systems running. Someone is giving them a priority order to follow.
