You guys should state whether you have force experimentation tree or not... without it, it usually takes meat least10 tried to get an amazing success when experimenting, but it depends, and I use 15.00/44.52 in research city. I'm grinding force experimentation now, cause of this reason, and the fact that it will help my armor overall.
I do not yet have Force Experi. I plan to do the quest after the business is up and running.

Keep in mind that experimenting on the durability is 4 equations in one attempt. It will only show amazing if all 4 roll amazing (H, A, M and cond). If you notice, sometimes you get a 2/3/3 HAM instead of a normal 3/3/3? You got an amazing success on the H part.

That I did not know slyder. That makes some sense. It ended up taking almost 200 tries to get 3 Kinetic Layers. I was putting the first 5 points into durability and then running the experiment. Something to take into consideration for next time I make low HAM kinetic

Personally I have found that character BF that is over 250 has a direct result on experimentation. I'm only a 10pt smith but use perfect tools/station and haveFS Exp. I usually have Amazing success 1 out of 5 attempts but recently made 31 attempts at Comp Chest pieces before i gave up. I noticed my BF was 300+, went to an entertainer came back and first attempt was Amazing and once again had my 1 in 5 average for the next attempts for the other schematics.

The first thing i crafted (a helmet) after finishing the whole tree, I got 3 amazings in a row.
It definitely seems to make a big difference.
