must know resources to craft this item... will schematics be one use?
We probably ought to start hording every good spawn from here till CURB hits beta testing.
I'd like to see the organic requires cut down considerably to 1-2 organic per type maximum with only one organic being a specific. Aside from Chitin/Tantel/Bone being garbage armor, they are organic intensive. Same with ubese and padded (not garbage, but resource intensive.)

Yes please do not make this another type of RIS. Rare hard to get, and not worth fighting in. And it would make sence to require rank to wear certain armor

They didn't let armorsmiths craft faction armor from the get go because they wanted the FP system to actually do something, like used to buy stuff like armor. If they took the armor out of the FP system completely or almost completely that would defeat that original purpose of having the armor be a faction perk to begin with.
True True, but they also probably didn't anticipate is that it took so much faction points for the armor that it was just to darn expensive to wear in combat (not to mention far inferior to other armor types).
I actually think the armor looks really cool. I hope they have some more cool armor types in the works also.
Okram, PLease make sure this point is brought to the devs, the factional armor must be cheap enough so that its possible to make (and use without fear of losing a massive time investment in getting the FPs)

Haven't done this personally, but I hear if you go overt in space, every faction kill you get you get FP for. Supposelly you can rack up FP in no time doing this and don't need figher skill on the ground. If this remains to be the case, I am not too worried about the FP requirements.

this is true. I go to kessel all the time after going overt while in space, and you rake in the faction. As an imp I can kill a reb gunbaot in about 1 min and I get like 192 faction. B-wings, x-wings, and y-wings give about 50 each.

would be cool if you could only get the schems per rank in your faction or something

If you read on the posting with the pics of armor it does say that armorsmiths will trade in faction for schematics. I would imagine they will be limited, or allow us to make limited runs. If they are strictly 1 use schematics that will drive their price through the roof, since most AS"s don't have a ton of faction available.

Like some of you have said, I think the faction points to aquire the schematics shouldn’t be very high. I want to see myriads of people wearing this armor!!!

I guess instead of purchasing armor pieces like now we'll use the FP to purchase the schematics instead. I hope it will be this way. Makes more sense in involving the crafters.

and what about the neutral armorsmiths?
I hate to say it and I know it will cause some problems. But I really think that the factional armor needs to be done by factional crafters. Those that choose to stay neutral can craft all non factional armor. Someone that is factional aligned with the rebellion would not have the means or the technology to create this type of amor.
Just my 14.99 worth but we all have our own opinions.

if i want the armor... i use "my" FP to buy... give it to an AS and he makes... problem solved.
