Thread: The Post Formerly Known As Holosmiths, Look Here
I went with chest plates and my only limiting factor for taking 4 days was the cloth. I had2 people who just couldn't keep up with demand. One guy started making it 2 factories and the other person just was busy with other stuff. I started my own factory with armorweave segments early, which was great. After I had enough of that I put my own cloth schematic in my factory.
It also seems like each factory puts out one crate an hour (SLOW)!!!!! It would take you about 9 days to get all 225 crates you may need!! So, get as many factories on cloth as possible, and talk to a ranger for hide.
Hides were not a problem for me being a former Master Ranger and all. I didn't destroy or sell more than 1k hides in my entire career as a Master Ranger.
Sorry to bother the Career Armorsmiths with this Holosmithing question but can somone post what the armor segments are made from?
As I understand it (I have 0 crafting skills atm, so no schematics aside from a tent and bowcaster) I will need the following to make Mabari Chest Plates:
1) 150K metal
2) 120K Fiberplast (any special kind here? This is a natural resource, correct?
3) 73K Hides (man, this is going to take alot of hunting to acrue)
Subcomponents:
4) ~1K Armorweave Segments (made from what resources and repsecitve quantities to make 1000 of these)?
5) 5500 Synthetic Cloth (made from 80K fiberplast and 22K inert petrochemical)
Im assuming it would be best to buy the raw resources and pay someone with a factory? Also are there any caviats like mixing wooly hide with scaly hide is a no-no?
Again I apologize for appearing to take the short cut to master this proffession, but after a month of debating whether to go for Jedi or not, I think Im going to make a run for it. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in adavnce,
I tried out the Macro
Construchtion Process stops with the nextC-Command.. What now ?
Hello and thanks for this great post
I am a Holo Smith, and trying to set up the macro
same problem here, with the /nextC command
I get the message 'you are already crafting'
If Idump the macro and try to proceed manually, I get the message saying ressources were not allocated properly, altho they are
Antoher problem with trying to work with multiple crafting tools on practice mode : if I start a new crafting session before the prvious one is completed, then the new crafting session is aborted with the message 'crafting session has ended'
Any help would be much apreciated
Thanks in advance

In my case, button F8 (toolbarSlot07) was the macro, F10 (toolbarSlot09), shift-F3 through shift-F7 and shift-F10 were also crafting tools. Doesn't matter the quality, it just so happens F10 and shift-F10 are my two stations of any quality. It DOES matter that they are all of one type, ie, all clothing tools or all general tools. Don't mix them.
Each crafting takes ten seconds of my time, and the items I'm crafting (PSG generator plates) are complex enough they need 50 seconds or so (49?). Even if there are a few seconds overlap, the extra station will take care of that.
Less complex designs will take different pauses and probably less crafting tools.
Even with abbreviation, I found I have to occasionally redo the macro, I think the tail end gets chopped off if it's too long sometimes, perhaps when you relog.
The cost should be roughly between 1,075,200 and 1,433,600 credits, based on 3:1 min and 4:1 max for the resources required.
Going the Mabari chest plate route instead of UAK's would cost in the neighborhood of 2,005,000 credits based on 3:1 for resources and 10:1 for hides.
And if you think you're going to make any money selling anything you've made while grinding up, then the constant mouse clicking has rotted your brain. Don't quit your day job.
