AsI indicated, onlythe first part about the wookies charging into battle has been mentioned on spoiler sites. Since I obviously missed it, please post me to any link specifically mentioning wookies wearing armor in Episode 3. Not about them going into battle, which is common knowledge and I can find 100 links about. I mean wookies that wear armor in Episode 3.

Also, I hear that the seperatists basically kick all of the wookies butts except Chewbacca, so I'm not sure you want to rely on that to prove their strength.

That's not to say it might actually end up that way in film, but people are going around stating that its a fact that not only do they go into battle, but they wear armor in an attempt to justify giving wookies armor in this game. People are jumping the gun.

And please.....if you're calling a couple of metallic pads 'Battle Armor' that's another huge stretch there don't you think? Are those metallic shoulder pads gonna stop a lot of damage compared to a full set of composite?

If you want to argue about the EU and continuity, you will lose everytime against someone like me or josfe.

Seeing how George Lucas doesn't pay a lot of attention to the EU, I don't know whyI should.

And oh, the Heavy Shoulder Pad is already a craftable item for Tailors. I happen to own one.

Wookiees have armor. Now we will smash you. Everything is in order--Wookiees killing things is definitely continuity.

Seriously all you who are crying about the lizards not having boots and gloves STOP!!! AND NO DONT REMOVE WOOKIES xtra HEALTH!!! Not everyone in the game has to be equal, that would be STUPID, if every race was the same in SWG. I have been a wookie since day 1(day 2 actually) I have had to endure death after death while I watched newbies with composite armor laugh at me. All us wookies really need is a light or medium armor with no resists, nothing fancy, just something to make us tougher, like wookies should be. But in answer to the lizards about their gloves ands boots, I think your feet and hands should just have some kind of light natural resist. I mean hell its not like you could shoot through those scales that easy anyway. THANK YOU FOR THE WOOKIE ARMOR, FINALLY!!!

I don't normally post in response to your posts and I don't normally join multi-page posts, but this one has moved me to do so:

NO offense to all those that love their Wookies and want nothing but for them to grow and prosper, but this is a sad day for me...I'm not a huge continuity freak, but I play SWG in part because it "feels" like Star Wars...Wookies in Armor is as disheartening for me as Jedi in Advanced Composite or Kryat pearls in lightsabers...(yes, I know, I finally broke down and bought composite..in truth I justified that to myself that I did it so I could get to my FSCS faster...and play a jedi that doesn't wear armor....)

After almost a year as a loyal Fan-boy: this and the "Droid invasion" are chipping away at my faith in the Devs...the game is getting "better (more content, more stable)" and "worse (losing the Star Wars feel)" at the same time. I fear for the Space Expansion...there will only be on starship type, the USS Enterprise

Us Bothans are not very prominent in PvP as out HAM isn't anything to shout about (doesn't bother me though as I'm sure we do OK being able to wear whatever armour we like). I would like to think that the individual species had different assets to bring into the arena other than what bits of armour they can wear...

I can assure you the armor won't be nearly as good as composite. I bet it tops out at 50% effectiveness at best. Remember, they were initially going to give wookiees only maruader armor - what is that like 20% effectiveness?

Wookiees will be far from the "PvP race of choice," They just won't suck, and commandos and rifleman will stop one-shot killing them maybe. The people against this change are the people who should be playing doom in"God" mode, because that is what they really want: to never lose and to one shot everyone.

The people that are worried their template will no longer be the uber template becuase they arent' a wookiee should relax. There is no way that the wookiee only armor will be even close to composite.

I don't get it, you all have composite and the devs throw us a bone and you **edit**? Nobody knows what the stats are and our HAM does not make up for anything. I don't last a second in pvp, now maybe I will last 5 second. Man, quit whining and wait for the stats before you start bitching.
