Most go the BH / Rifles route since the Tantel can be made up to 8700 Energy protection and 6100 for the rest. I am BH / Carbines so im stuck with lower resists for now. So it all depends on where you look and what AS have in stock. Hope that helped.

Well I appreciate the replys but both you guys might be better off knowing what type of dmg lightsabers do, this is from SOE concerning armor and dmg types since the CU:

Basic Damage Types

There will be changes to the types of damage a piece of armor defends against and how it can be modified:

  • All weapons will do a base damage of type "Kinetic" or "Energy".

    • Lightsaber damage is now classified as "Energy" damage.

  • Several weapons will do additional "elemental" damage: "Heat"/"Cold" and"Acid"/"Electrical".Each of these elemental pairs are opposites of each other, meaning protection from one reduces protection for the other.
  • Particle effects on hit locations and muzzle flash, and the color of the bolt will be determined by the damage type of the weapon.

    • The color for energy weapons will be red; the color for kinetic weapons will be blue.

So knowing that, what type of armor is best suited for hunting jedis? If it is in fact assault, that's great with the penalty mitg MBH's get, but I'd like it explained to me why its better than energy protection considering lightsabers do energy dmg.

Again, any info is appreciated.

Allright allright I admit I don't feel very cool posting this but im just curious haha. Its about the Fett style armor.(you know this stuff --->:fettI assumed when I first played that although I did get to see Boba Fett in Jabba's Palace, it was not possible to get his style of fett armor or helmet in the game. However after cycleing through the "Screenshot of the day" archives and seeing several players wearing this famous helmet and armor it makes me curious. (Also a little side note if you havnt taken time to cycle through those 600 or so screen shots its worth the time some of them are beautifully composed and often time hysterical) But back to the point...am I on crack or can you really get thisFett style armor? If you can.. how let me know where i need to go and what i have to do. Is it a quest or what.As always, thanks so much guys!

yes you can get the armor but its insanely difficult

You must first loot a set of bounty hunter armor ( not mandolorian armor ) the BH armor from black sun thugs

loot various other items from the deathwatch bunker on endor.

then take all of your loot along with a master armorsmith/crafter everything lol to the bottom of the bunker to a crafting terminal and you have little time to craft just one peice of armor after all of this

The items themselves are called "bounty hunter armor"? When you say black sun things what do you mean? Only thing iv seen with a "black sun" title has been in space.. Where can I find these? Does it drop often or just randomly and rarely? And what do you mean by "various other things" haha im bored and decided this is what i would work on next.. im all about aesthetics.. which is why i say skrew cybernetic arms! i know its on endor but what do i need to loot? And when you craft with the armor crafter do you choose what armor piece you want? Thanks haha i know its a lot to ask.

I haven't gone looking for Black Suns since the Big Nerf--I mean, the CU--but random spawns appear on Yavin, northwest of the northern outpost, along the shore of the lake.

I got a few pieces, but they were ALWAYS left bracers. The helmets, while not as cool as Fett's, do look really awesome though.

Black Sun NPCs on Yavin, Dath and sometimes other planets have a chance (very slim one) to drop "Bounty Hunter Armor". The Bounty Hunter armor is a style different from what you are asking about which is "Mandolorian". The armor the Fetts wore is Mandolorian. To get that kind you need the Bounty Hunter armor off the Black Sun NPCs and as previously mentioned you also need specific loot drops from in the Death Watch Bunker.

When you have the Bounty Hunter Armor, the required drops and a tough as nails group with an armorsmith, you head down into the bottom of the bunker and craft the Mando. Like previously stated there isnt alot of time so you may need to go through cycles of mobs when attempting to craft more then one piece. It is very difficult to even get one piece done so dont expect to be walking around like Boba anytime soon.

The items needed for creating one piece of Mando Armor:

Bounty Hunter Armor: Randomly spawned Black Suns - loot. RANDOM spawns on Yavin, Dathmoir or Endor.
