I am fairly new to the Armorsmithing profession.....and man, it is a blast and definitely one of the morefulfilling professions in the game. I gotta owe it to ya, Okram, if it weren't for your determination to the AS community, I'd most likely still bein the dark. It was such a shock seeing SOE put you down like that...furthermore lowering my expectations on where the game is heading...
Since I'm not resubscribing....the latest Asheron's Call expansion sure does look promising...back to my first love.

This is just insane.
They just want lackey correspondants like that clown thats in the jedi spot that doesnt even know their proffession and regurgitates their wishes and ideas.
You are what a true correspondant should be okram, and I for one am sickened by the dev team.
Thanks devs, you are killing SWG. That will look good on your sheet when you try and get a job after this goes belly up.

This is reflecting the upcoming CFU, I'm sure BUT they will use this as an excuse to say "our polls show 76% of the people wouldn't recommend SWG to a friend. that shows we need to do something to change that and the CFU is just the thing."No matter how we vote on that poll, they will spin it.I can't currently get into TC so is that poll still there and have they changed ot to ask if we like the CFU or is it still only combat orientated?
SOE Spinmasters at work again.
But the emperor can only lie about having cloths on for so long before everyone finnally caves in and laughs.

Never been and never probably will be an AS: CH and ID here, supporting Okram and the Armorsmith community 100%
Tiggs and SOE made a horrible decision, Okram didnt even break any rules. Please point me to where it says "Do not send PMs to any red names or devs" in the TOS or EULA or whatever we have now.

Oh well, It's rather obvious that an organization with a minimal grasp on damage control would have handled this by officially reprimanding Okram and then explained that if he or any other corre tried the same harsher measures would be taken.
Of course, a company or organization with the least bit of grasp on damage control and spin wouldn't have let things slide so far out of hand in the first place.
And if I intended to maintain the public trust I would listen to the outcries and either reinstate Okram as AS corre or give him blue glowie status.
It matters very little if he made a dev cry a bit when he found out his inbox was full of mail from angry customers, what matters is the public perception of this whole affair and acting with totalitarian aggressivity won't change the publics opinion, it never did, it never will.
The people in charge should understand this.
They should also understand that we can't eat cake instead of the bread we don't have.
I'm still overall positive to the combat uppgrade, but I think the way it has been handled so far has reeked of unprofessionalism and there isn't a day when I don't check the forums and think "this could have been handles so much better" For starters it could have been handled correctly.
