Thread: I QUIT
You know I get tired of seeing these messages of people quitting in disgust. Has anyone ever stopped to think that perhaps the MMORPG industry has just not evolved to the point to meet your expectations?
I played SWG for a year and then left for a year. Yes, I was bored and rather than spend the effort to find out and do in the game what was fun to me, I left. I played WOW, Everquest II, Eve, Anarchy Online, and a number of Betas and you know what? All of them had the same problems that SWG has and yet non of them held my attention as much as SWG.
All of the MMORPG games make changes that are unpopular and popular, all make additons that are free and for fee. All make good changes, all make changes that nerf certain aspects of the game.
All MMORPGs have economies, player run or not, that are subject to massive inflation, manipulation, and monopolies.
All MMORPGs have content problems. Some have tons of redundant mindnumbing content, others have great content - but very little of it and no promisses to increase.
All in all with everything that I've experienced - I came back. Why? Because Startwars Galaxies is still the best Sci-Fi MMMORPG out there. I'm spending more effort to find out what is fun to me and just have fun rather than trying to find all the things that are wrong.
Find out what is fun to you and do it. If you spend your effort telling us things that we already know you waste our time and yours. The industry as a whole is still evolving and pointing out what is wrong and that you are unhappy and leaving does not make it evolve any faster.
Get over it, and leave us in peace.

Really,
I think that's a great idea...someone ought to make a house right outside Coronet called "I quit" and give someone admin rights and they can then dole out rights to anyone else. Those who quit can deposit all their stuff there before quiting and then anyone can ask for admin rights to the house and take whatever has been left behind.
Oh!Also to those who are quiting, remember to help out your guild or player cities by depositing all your credits in their treasury or at least give it to a newbie on the streets of Mos Eisley or Coronet.
