I've just started BH myself, the other poster was asking what othe proffesion do you have as well like rifleman or carbineer or pistoleer etc.

I'm only 0,0,1,1 BH so far
I bout a nice featherweight FWG5 pistol, a laser carbine, and just bought a light lightning cannon(rifle), you would be best to pick up one of the elite weapons trees to go with BH also pick up novice medic so you can heal yourself without stims for a start you can always drop it later.

I'm not sure which armour BH gets mitigation for but look in your skills and it will tell you which type of armour you get mitigation for then go and buy some armour of that kind of armour

Battle armor, u mean assualt, pick up a good set of composite if u arent gonna hunt jedis, once ur MBH get a set of ubese with 6k energy and up

your servers trade forums are a better place to look for an armour vendor...also, you might want to find out what sort of armour you're certed to use first.

Where does it say in the test centre that pub 21 will make BHBoss npc's drop BH armor schematics?

it doesnt say taht but from people on tc-bloodfin and tc-bria have claimed and screenshots that they have looted them before.
