So I log in for the first time since I "retired" last night to see who's on and meander to Theed cantina, forgetting my MAS tag was up from when I left. No sooner had I stepped inside than I get this:

"How's the armor business?" (from someone I've no clue who they are)
"Uh, what business?"
"Oh, you must be new. Want to buy some resources?"
"Not really, I have plenty."
"How much is plenty?"
"45-50 million units"
"OMFG! Where the hell did you get all the money for that? Stupid e-bayer."
"No. It's called playing the game for 2 years and stockpiling"

-_- So because I have 40-50 million units of resources, I buy my credits on e-bay? *grumble*

That's why I generally don't tell people how much money or resources I have. No reason to get people pissed off at your success, or assume that because you have a lot of money they can over charge you for stuff.

I just made Master AS last Friday and finally had my first lesson on what not to do as an AS today... don't be happy.

I notice that the servers are finally back up when I go on my lunch break, so I log in for a bit and see this guy who had wanted me to make him some right BH biceps/braces. I askhim if he still wanted them and he says he already got them, but could use the left bicep/brace, so I got the schematics and to come by and I can make them. Before ever meeting, we agree on the deal. He says he only has 260k, and I tell him that wouldn't even cover the schematics. But I tell him I just had a good lunch, the servers were back up, and I was in a good mood, so I would make both pieces for him for X if he brought me the next two schematics that he looted. He says "ok, that should only take like 3 or 4 missions". So I double check, "is that cool?" He says, "ok, send me the wp to your shop."

So, I stand around and wait for like 10-15mins while he has to finish some bounty mission. He comes, I make the first piece, then he starts getting all rushed like "hurry, I got to go eat... can I just pick them up later?" I say it'll only take another min or two, so I make the other part, then we swing by the bank and go to trade. I offer thetwo pieces and he offers 260k. I stop and tell him the deals was 125k and his next 2 schematics. He says "no thanks" and I tell him "no, you agreed to that. These schematics cost me 400k alone." And he promptly "ok, nvm. dun want it. bye" and logs out right there.

Lesson of the day: never be nice to people (at least ones you don't know).

Still debating where to just /addignore him, or wait until he logs on next and hand him a new one (old high ground / low ground thing). Any bugs with city banning people while they are logged outwithin the city? Thought I saw something about that being fixed.

Lol! I think we all learn the hard way on something like that. You just can't trust anybody....especially if they say they are "going" to get the thing you want from them. ("I don't have the money yet, but if you will go ahead and make it, I'll go do some missions real quick"...)

Chuckle for the smuggler...reborn. The similarities amaze me. At least we have an rp'able explanation for being mean *******s to our customer. Our conversation might go something like this.

dewd: hay

me: er..hello

dewd: u have any free slice 4 noob

me *sighing*: like for what?

dewd: lvl 5 everything or i report u lol

me: lol go **** yourself.
