what if Smugglers could Smuggle in the first place?
LMAO!!!! I was thinking the same thing.
Smugglers USED to require slicing experience and pistol and (I think) unarmed to master. Why it was changed, I have no idea. Most likley to make it easier to get it. You used to see endless amounts of people offering to "slice your locked containers" at every major area in the game. It was quite sad, really.
I was wondering why spices don't need experiementation, thus allowing ANY resource of the correct type to be used. In Star Wars "lore" spice is of varying quality dependant on where it was mined from, how it was processed, etc. If spices were like foods in that they needed good resources, there would be a much better trade on them. I just have trouble cost justifying making spice anymore and sell a crate of 25 for 5k a piece. Not much return on that for me since I don't prospect resources. I pay between 1 and 2cpu for them on my server.
Another issue for me with spice... we're making DRUGS. Ilegal substances... making them in the same manner as foods, just seems wrong. It somehow makes it legitimate. Would be cool if the Imperial Crackdown included spice and made it seem more "shaddy" for the criminal underground in-game experience.

After the slice changesI noticed this sudden lack for slice xp, I submitted a ticket about it cause wellI wanted to trade it in at aurilla for the luck branch of force sensitive senses, I was told that because slice xp was no longer REQUIRED to advance in smuggler it was removed from the game. However it conversion is still possible while conversing with Pameos at the village and the conversion ratio is still three to one.

NowI could imagine that we get some xp for completing missions the same way BHs get it for the investigation tree. With the spice tree obsolet, and rumors about changes tu underworld... who nows? Not even SoE, I bet.

You have to wonder if smuggling will give us smuggler XP when(if) it emerges as an activity.
