A quick question.
Resource spawns are completely random, right? As in no specific area has a greater probability for a good radioactive shift.
Just curious,
Thanks

There do seem to be some areas which give you better % than they should do for a totaly random spawn how ever its a matter of luck if you find one. The oppersite is also true.

Yeah, I seem to go multiple shifts without placing a single harvester...then one shift that has 5 different things I need in mass quantity.

Has anyone noticed any issues with the resource spawns on their server? I know on Flurry we haven't had alot of steel, aluminum or copper spawning lately however ther has been TONS of iron. Right now there are seven different types of iron and on some other servers I have noticed are close to 16 different types of iron. I have also noticed that the same thing is happening with gases. We might have one gas spawn until that "flips" out. Not one of each type (reac and inert) just one or the other. Right now there is one spawn of both but just haven't noticed this before.
I have been playing SWG for over a year and a crafter of some type or another for 75% of that time and have never seen anything like this for an extended period of time.
Just wondering if the same thing is happening on other servers, and if it is could we bring it to the Dev's attention?
Thanks

Its supposed to be different on each server, dont ask me why, it just is.
Also if you want to know when a spawn of a certain type of resource flips on your server, check out swgcraft.com. And click on Current Resources. It helps a ton.

Your observations are correct. The resource shifts got hit somewhere about publish 12. Look on the forums here or at swgcraft.com for posts by Lunariel. That writer probably knows more about the resource shiftsthan the programmer who wrote the code. But basically, there are less resources than before. With the JTL resource quotas, and the current fascination with iron, there are less resources ofother things, especially gases. Apparently on some galaxies, there have been times when the only gas found on the entire server was the JTL gas.

Yeah i noticed it on Bloodfin as well. Gas become a commodity for some reason over here not even inert spawning in most cases.
