ok, it has taken me 2 months to get the resources, now, can anyone tell me what base and kinetic i need to get my layers and segments up to please help me

Need 33% on the segs to get 70% base

I don't think its just 33%. You'd have to be at the high end of 33% for a 70% Base I think cause mine are at least 33% and I only get like a 68% Base. I'll double check this when I'm not at work... I don't do much at work...its slow right now... anyway, when I can get onb tonight, I'll double check.

There is no level you need to hit etc, all you can do is make the best your resources can do.... The standard custom for Kinetic layered composite is to max the base for layers / segments / final and then put remaining points into HAM, if your resources are not that good and you miss 80% kinetic you may have to put an extra point or two into special in the layers (at the cost of HAM)...

From only 2 months collecting I very much doubt you will be hitting 70% base - so don't get upset if you miss it - getting the best resources can take an age and slowly your base will rise.

The best way to play with comp armor is to make gloves, as you can complete the whole process by hand. Nothing we tell you here can replace simple experience of using the system...

Very good point Asir, but I know that when I was working on armor smith I got a lot of good tips and answers to my questions that helped me out so much. Yes, just figuring it out for myself helped alot too, butthe people on the forums gave me an excellent starting point.

thanks guys that all helps alot, i hit Kin 80% energy 80% and base 64% ... at the cost of alot of ham... but that can be taken care of by slices and buffs

Try maxing the base on your kinetic layers instead of the kinetic protection, see what you get then.

What is the highest energy resist stat I can get from Composite Armor?

I know when AS adds layers it drops others but was wondering if you could get 8k energy resists from Composite.
