So i headed to Kimo town looking for the fabled GDK. I got there and low and behold I was in luck. Not only was he there, but he was asleep. So I popped my brandy and synth steak and went for the head hits ( Master Swordsman). I figured like last time someone would come along and steal the kill on me half way through.

But to my surprise noone else around. So I keep head hitting and getting a ton of disease. Finally after chasing it through a few warps I killed him. I loot of course, and low and behold I get not one but 5 scales. After 6 months finally I just hit the lottery. So Im just happy as can be. Just thought Id share. Hope everyone else is having a good day as well : )

I got lucky again and now have 7 scales! Life is shining bright. I won tickets to 2 NFL preseason games this year and this. Nice month for me!

Congrats, didn't think the ones at kimo town dropped but that is very cool.

and acefoghter it may not be difficult (for the right combat profession) but it is something that involves alot of time and effort and it is something fun to accomplish in these times of bordom. No need to pee in someones cheerios. I know I spent alot of time hunting out kimos to kill and so even more time killing them before I hit the jackpot. I felt great and killed time before pub. 10

I know the pain myself all too well.

Yesterday I spent 6 hours in total, sat in the woolmander temple, killed 3 spawns and got nothing

Yup I still need resources. Working on the cash flow right now. Once I hit 50 million Ill be doing a buying spree to stock up. So maybe a month or so. WhenI start making armor I dont want to have to run around every other day looking for resources.

So email me in game. I read these at work and always forget by the time I get home lol. So shoot a letter to Cyrus.

For the guy who posted about it not being that special, well, good on ya! Took me 4 months to get a hold of one scale so that I could finish the RIS quest, and that just happened on Saturday.

On Eclipse, we have people camping it all the time. GDK scale prices are (for me) through the roof. My guild and I have killed 150+ and nothing.

Congrats again, dude! 5 scales! Awesome! You will almost be able to make a complete suit!

Am I just getting really lucky or have they cranked the drop way up right now? I killed another Kimo and got 6 scales. That makes 13 total now. 4 kimos killed and 3 drops. I was glad to get the one drop of. Felt super lucky for the extra 2. I was just keeping on with the killing because hey I needed 3 more. 9 for the suit and one to give the hermit?

By the way thanks Fajeana and Anasi for helping me last night. My armor is beat all to hell and without the heals and the shor break to recoup id have lost that drop.

If they keep dropping this often id have to agree its getting easy. Anyone else seen a dramatic pick up in drops? Just wondering. Maybe its because RIS is supposed to have a lightsaber resist? So they are upping up the drop to make a jedi fightingarmor viable and available?

Just a thought. Im hoping im just lucky and the armor will remain mostly rare. Im glad its not a single scale drop but if I can gather 13 in 2 days the increase in the armor will be dramatic. Oh well I think every master armor smith deserves the chance to make a suit too. I mean as far as i know its the only real quest an armor smith has. Other than mando and thats just off the charts in ridiculous levels of difficulty. Not to mention its not an armor smith quest... its a droid engineer/ tailor/ artisan/ armor smith quest.. lol Not to mention the 20 odd friends who dont mind being cannon fodder for you to get it done. : )

gratz, nice to hear of somone having a bit of luck. I've not even tried to have a bash at a kimo....but then I am a pistoleer, and unless I can rig my fwg5 up to one of my fusion plants it isnt really gonna drop a kimo, hell woolmanders scare me

Are you sure you are getting a Giant Dune Kimogila scale?

Or are you getting regular Kimo scales?

Only reason I ask is because of the way you phrased the one thing.
