Thread: Bloodfin GCW Rebs: 1 Billion Imps: 0 and I need to make factional armor!

So my question is, if you are losing on every planet, does the ratio thing still come into play or is the faction cost for factional schematics the same on all losing planets. If I don't have to scour the galaxy to find a planet we are only sort of losing on, then I don't want to (the planet my shop is on is like 600 to 1! Lol!)

Man, I'm proud to have done my part in ensuring that ratio ...

I don't care about the price, I just care if it is different on each planet based on the losing ratio or if it is all the same at that point. I'm talking about how lazy can I get away with and that is something this community will understand!

Dude, the same thing is happening on our server.

The damn Impo's are leading on every planet. They never show up for PvP because they're too chicken and are too busy destoying bases in the meantime. LOL

And yeah, the price is the same whetherthe ratio1.00001:1 or 99999999999:1. As long as you're losing, you're gonna have to pay max. That's why I just set up a cheap Forward Outpost base behind my factories and buymy schematicsthere. Less hassle. I think we're losing like 5:3 now on Naboo.

question here though, does the ratio matter when you're winning on a planet, because I'm still paying 6500+ on a 3:1 ratio planet where we're ahead. Lowest I've paid is 3k per schem, a long time ago...no matter where I go I end up paying 6-7k per schem these days.

Now that it's OK to support the removal of classes in your signature, I firmly support the removal of all the benny hill glowstick fanclub from the game; it was a lot more fun before they came.

Well, it's supposed to matter.

Dunno if you're bugged, but try hopping around different planets.

Also check player made bases instead of the NPC's in the cities.

My observations say that the ratio does not matter as much as the actual score of the losing side. Or, perhaps, it's just so easy for the losing side to screw the ratio. Say your side is winning 1000 to 100 -- 10:1. The other side buys one SF HQ and gets 2 PvE TacCenters ... 36 points right there and your ratio is now 7:1. One more purchase and the ratio drops under 6:1. Combine that with an equation that calculates prices on a non-linear basis and it takes an extremely favorable ratio to get your prices low. In other words, you may think "we just doubled our ratio from 2:1 to 4:1, so prices should be cut in half" ... that just isn't how it works.

I've been thinking about starting a toon on Kettemoor to test this. GCW planetary scores are pretty low across the board, so dropping or killing even a few bases should have a big impact on perk prices.

Bottom line again: You want cheap prices? Learn how to slice a base, then work your tail off for a week taking out every single enemy base on one single planet. When you have a score like 1121-0 like it is on Rori for my server, the ratio is infinite or undefined ... division by zero error. THAT is when you get stuff cheap!

Aside to JediSpam, one Reb to another ... so, what's your server?

I love those TFO guys. Always have at least one planet where schems are good prices

nope, you are gonna pay like 3 times as much for the schematics. I waited and the planetI got them from got back in rebel hands(1121-0) Otherwise most planets were charging me almost 6k for a schematic I knew I could get for 2k when rebels were doing better. So I waited, and now have all 3 made and on my vendor

The actual ratio does not matter. Even being tied doesn't matter. Unless you have the lead, you will pay the top price for faction perks. If armor schematics follow the same formula as bases, turrets and minefields, then that means if you are on a planet where the score is tied or your faction is losing, it will cost you 3x the lowest possible price.

Same applies in the other direction -- the ratio doesn't tell the whole story. Reductions in price depend more on how small the other faction's GCW score is, not the ratio. If you want the best possible price, piling bases onto a planet won't get you there (one planet on my server recently had a score of 1750 Imp to 200 Reb, and Imp perks were still something like 20% higher than the lowest price).

Bottom line: if you want to buy stuff cheap, eliminate every enemy base from a planet. And I'm speaking from experience here
