Personally I charge no more for ithorian or wookiee, or humanoid armor. It's all priced at 350k per suitfor me.... Sorry you aint on Tempest with the other cool people

My best suggestion would be to find a top-level smith and see if he would be willing to custom-make a suit of Ithorian armor for you. I never stock Ithorian armor simply because it's a pointless exercise when there are maybe 10 Ithorian combatants on my server. My guess is that it's the same on other servers, too.

Yes i would agree, contact an AS and ask for a custom order. For me, I make cores, more cores and more cores. The only thing i stock is composite on my vendor. Ithorian and wookie just move to slow to waste the cores to have them sitting on my vendor. The same goes for most battle and recon, there are so many color combinations now that trying to guess what people want is a waste of time and cores. Post Cu i would say 50-70% of my business is custom orders, versus pre-cu maybe only 10% of my business was custom orders. So even though i onl;y stock assdualt on my vendor, I can make all armor types but i only do it per request. I would be surprised if you can not find a smith to make you an ithorian suit for a comparable price of any other suit. A core is a core is a core, its just the skin that changes.

I completely agree on the custom ithorian armor requests. Most AS I know are as frustrated as I am with the factory bugs but do have advanced cores of all shapes and sizes sitting in factory output hoppers. Since the CU, 100% of my armor business is custom orders. Im guessing like I do, if you contact an AS on your server with very specific instructions on a set of Ithorian armor, he or she can hammer it out in 5 minutes. But the above posters are correct when they say its a waste of resources and cores to have armor sitting on a vendor that probably wont sell. There are just too many color combinations to accurately guess what customers want.
I'll say this about the CU, now my padded orders have been less "black on black" and more colorful since the bugs have made me do face to face work.

Why is Ithorian armor so much more expensive then other non-Ithorian armor?
I know each server has thier own economy but on Bria, I see a decent battle suit for "normal" races that are low - mid 5k resists down the line anywhere from 20-40k credits a piece of armor.. While at the same time the Ithorian battle armor with low 5k resists to all but energy(mid-high 4k)(which seems to be best on server atm from vendor search) is at 70k a piece?
Could someone please enlighten me on this? Is it more rare resources then other battle, more factory crated items then other armors, etc., or is it just greedy people raising the price because lack ofithorians out there ?
I know this isn't the bria forum, but it's AS forum and it's more an AS question then specific pricing on the galaxy I play on.
Thanks in advance!

I think its more along the lines of it being a niche product. Lack of demand would normally drop the price but in an instance like this I think we AS are looking to see if its a waste of our resources to make since only that race can wear it and likelyhood of selling it isnt as high

I can see charging a little more for wookiee armor due to the unusual requirements, but the Ithorian is no harder to make than anything else. If you do bulk runs via factory I can totally understand not doing more Ithorian, etc., due to practicality, but if you're a small smith who hand makes it, there's no difference.
The one exception I can think of is if your server hasn't had a real good shift of intrusive ore in a long time and the AS's needed to use resource kits to get the good stuff. That sort of thing can seriously affect costs. (I have to charge more for recon and assault on Eclipse, for instance, because the best hides for it only come from resource kits, making them jump from 20-30 cpu to 100 cpu for the hides.)

Seriously guys its not that hard to do a factory run of 25 suits of each, throw them on the vendor and forget about them. Default colors FTW til the bugs get fixed, and most folks dont seem to care as they know by now by and large about the factory bugs. Wook armor sells pretty well as again there's a fair ammount of lazy smiths that just want to make composite, ubese, and padded. Oh well, more money in my pocket... less for them

Ithorian is just as easy as other armors. Like others have said, find another smith who is willing to do a custom suit for you at a reasonable price. You might want to even offer to find the two resources required for the final appearance (these are the only things different from humanoid armor). I can;t remember off the top of my head, but if no one else posts, I'll come back and post them later today when I get in game.

The only armor that's any "more trouble" than other armors would be Wookiee armor, and only because you need specific Endorian wood (extra set of harvs, or a special contract, and there wasn't much in circulation pre-CU) and armor padding (not normally a stock item for tailors, at least not on Eclipse). Even then, get one good contract of each wood, contract a tailor, and you're set.
