Thread: 40% Stun. Need help with Base

Just made my first set of 40% stun armour but I can't get the base any higher than 63%.
My Stun layers are 2/13. I can't remember exact stats of segments or resources off the top of my head but I would really like to get the base higher than 63%.
For anyone else out there making high stun resist armour, what kind of base are you getting as standard?

Wharry - you need the last few points first.... (you're +16 atm yes?)
Then.. with the same resources you have for layers you can get 13.333% stun 3% base layers, that will help you on you product a little....
The rest is just down to resources on the segments and final, but with this new Colat it should be geting OK....

I'm borrowing seb's +20 suit at the minute so I'm +20 myself. I just own +16 of my own suit.. if you follow.

Are you saying I should be able to get 3/13.33 layers out of these resources? Does that need straight Amazings for experimentation?

I am using identical resources, and yes I get 3/13.33 layers... You need amazings to get there tho 
Well at least an amazing on the initial experiment, with everything going into stun....

Wharry, re "100k for lot 2 If you're still selling?"..... remember to block it first (I lost a +2 exp that way)

At least I know it's possible now.
Do you put all your exp points into one basket with the first exp on the stun line?

Yah, I don't have a tape to block it yet, but 100k isn't a lot to lose out on if I never find one, but if I do find one it'll cost me a lot less than a straight +2 eh?

yes - as much as possible into stun and get an amazing, if that initial try is anything less than amazing bin it (unless the assembly was critical - watch out for them)

Gotcha, does it explicitly say 'Critical Success' ? If not how do you tell?

The only thing to show you is the initial % before experimentation, normally with the above resources it is 25%, But one time it hit 28%, that was the only thing clue to all this.... Also the assembly was only a 'great' but I got them stats

Hello chaps, Billy here 
A couple of days ago i finished a 1000 run of 40% stun armour plates.
I did my initial tests and decided to leave the final factory runs of composite until the 1000 finished.
I made some 4 pieces. The Helmet, Gloves and Boots are 40 Stun / 80 Electric and 66 Base. The Chest comes out at 65% base (i'm sure you have seen this 1% drop in the chest before). I am not ingame right now but do record the %'s on the experiment phase of the stunlayers and armour plates and added them to the schematic name so i am sure of the exact result.
I will communicate these to you.
These results have nothing to do with the critical success thing. For one thing, i did it 3 times to make 1000 armour plates. It does however require a double amazing on each layer.
I would advise the following:
Grind your layers to the experiment phase using no food. Experiement once on the bottom bar fully still using no food. If you get an amazing success, finish the bottom bar, eat some food and experiment on the middle bar hoping for a second amazing.
Rinse and repeat until you have 3 layer schematicsand factory them.
When making the armour plates, take the same aproach.
Result is maximum results out of your resources.

What you're saying makes perfect sense! I'm a crafting noob really but want to learn how from experience crafters.
I think my best piece of armour came out at 40% stun 63% base and 77% electric, but I didn't really get any amazing's then. Looks like I'll need to sit down and try for a little time tonight
