At a time when the community needs each other as a whole we are splintered
by half-truths and lies ....
It sure is funny you guys can pull together when it comes to flameing or trollin the
forums but when it comes time to speak up about something that so vastly effects
each and everyone of us you become pacifist and are afraid to speak up as one
voice.
A prime example is the treatment one of our number has recived for trying to voice
the opinons of a whole group of which he represented. Now granted he may have
chosen the method in which he did out of frustration which may or may have not
warrented termination. Not our call however what he did was try to do something for
the community as a whole . There was no reward in his job other than the reward of
doing something positive for the proffession and people who were directly related to
that profession and the game as a whole.
Now I dont know where they got the numbers for how people are responding to the
curb but they arent the real facts and misleading the people who read that garbage
to bascially pull them into this game is imo about as low as you can get for promoteing
a broken product.
I feel like that if everyone in here would please take the time to respond to this by sending
emails to your fav gaming mags and websites and inviteing the editors here to the forums
to get the real story you can have a profound effect on the game and the garbage that is
being thrust upon us..
Some of you dont like me some do Im askin you to do this to protect the integrity and the
future of the game ...

We should unite and take over and make this a socialist game.
Yeah, i know nothing like that is gonna happen, but at least we can maybe make teh DEV's listen to use for once. I was really looking forward to the CU, and liked it while testing. But so many things have happened and changed in the last two weeks. NOw that i think about it they didn't propose their ideas for the CU, they said "Here is the CU, and this is how we are doing things. Your opinions don't matter, unless you agree with what we say." (of course this isn't a direct quote). Many people keep speaking of a massive quiting of accounts, but too many people are afraid to. The communication that SOE has is absolutely rediculous. They put words in our mouths and tell us what we should believe is "fun" and "tactical".
Like i said, i was looking forward to this CU and i really didn't like all the ranting and crap, but things gave changed. I don't know if i am going to stay anymore. Maybe i will and maybe not. Either way, something within SOE has to changed, because this is getting out of control and it would take a miracle for them to relieve that frustration and anger that many people feel right now.

As a crafter on a couple servers but NOT an Armorsmith I must step in here because the failure of the Devs to "listen" to any of us is universal. I must also point out that the ONLY problem here is the communities failure to REALLY do anything about it. I read all these posts about the Devs failure to heed to the desires of us, the guys who pay their salaries, and act accordingly. How many of you guys who constantly post how the Devs never listen to us have actually cancelled your subscriptions? Almost 2 yrs into this and the problem from the beginning is the same problem as today. The devs refuse to listen to the community. If its been 2 yrs and no progress how many of you actually think its ever gonna get better?! If you want to make a statement then cancel your subscriptions. That is the only "post" they will listen to.I know this game is addictive and all but if things are that bad then quit. The devs will take notice of that if nothing else. I dont expect this post to be around long so take heed, and yes I have cancelled my subscription in case anyone asks.

I agree but if they wont listen to our issues who will? The devs say they dont read the forums yet threads that seem potentialy harful to their image get deleted/locked very quickly.

Yeah, the devs don't read 'em.
They are only scared about loosing customers, I think. When people read negative things, they get sad, and realize how badly they are being screwed by SOE, and then they hit the cancel button.
It's just damage control.

I think thats where the problem is, they don't read the forums, and it was plain and clear to me from what this CU thats in test, what they said in the dev chat yesterday. They have no idea how we feel full stop. That is until today where i'm sure they got the message be it right or wrong in the way it was achieved.

If we collectively began posting protests all over the place on the boards, there'll be no way to keep up with all of them. They'll have no choice but to ban us. Perma-ban us. That'll take a HUGE chunk out of the player-base.
