Thread: Please remove or raise the upper limit hard caps on armor

Make our resources worthwhile. Make our protection a little more valuable. With a 10% buff and no cap, we still wouldn't be able to get anywhere near 9000 protection on anything anyway. It would offer more range and more impetus for us to keep making what we do. The percentages offer such decreasing returns now that there's nothing to worry about; we could decrease damage by another 1.3%? Come on, a bone thrown here would be great. Coding the hard caps out would be easy. And it might make the smiths swallow this new buffing business a little more easily.

Now that it's OK to support the removal of classes in your signature, I firmly support the removal of all the benny hill glowstick fanclub from the game; it was a lot more fun before they came.

every smith that didn't sell crap stuff now would want that, so won't happen

although this would be really nice, and let us actually craft, it will be all max layer stuff here soon

Well this is just my theory, and I have no proof.

I read somewhere earlier that an Architect on TC made a BER11 Medium Harvester. That's 10% over the current "cap". If this is in fact true, and it applies to armor, then I think we MIGHT be looking at 6600 across the boardcapped unlayered Battle.

Very unlikely it'll be implemented, but who knows...

I wish you guys could hit 10000 MAX for an armor's stats. That would need perfect resources and loot enhancers, but it should be possible.

Even with that we need something to make it abit more complicated again. Something other than just one line to experiment on.

They should go back to the % resist for armor again. All they did was make it harder to figure out how good some armor is. There is NO benefit to the player.

Yes, it was both cheesy and unnecessary. There is NO benefit to anyone.

Well actually the rating kinda helps us sell stuff. If it displayed resistances we'd have a really hard time with competition.

buy my armour! 52.33333% resists! a total of 0.1111 better than anyone elses!

maybe not as bad as that but still.

just an idea i've been having for a long time in the layer phase have a second line of experimentation to remove negative effect of the layers much like pup's and SW enhancer's, it'll also give reason for 12pt's again

Yeah, we need something (ANYTHING) that's make armorsmithing a bit more complicated.

Another bar, different ways of experimenting, different combinations, ANYTHING!

actually playing with layer combo mixing is kinda interesting. I've found the best armor is made with mixing layer types.
