I have come into posession of a few Reclusive Gurk King Hides.
If anyone is interested, please post what you would pay.
This isn't an official auction, but if you post a good offer, I may contact you in game and we can figure something out.

The hide is used in making RIS armor, the most ugly armor in the galaxy, but also the most useful.

The Gurk Kings spawn on Lok, and their hide is a component of RIS armour (you don't harvert the hide, you loot it) - it can be sold for a fair few credits if you are lucky enough to loot some.
There are a couple of static Gurk King spawns on Lok, but the best was to find them is to destroy a Gurk lair (look for the ones with a Feral Gurk near them, as they spawn the Kings more often that not) - when thelair reaches zero a Reclusive Gurk King and some Destroyers should appear...
A lot of lairs can be found to the West of the volcano

I have found about 8 pieces in "nest" lairs in southern Lok. Those are probably your best bet

The static gurk king spawns (theres 2 I know of) are usually empty on Eclipse so your best bet is the random wild lairs with the 'feral gurks' like someone perviously stated. On Eclipse, the hides fetch 50-300k each.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm on the Bria server and while I was waiting in line to get buffed some random person came up to me and gave me four hides for nothing. I've been trying to get a price check on them for the last two days but sadly no responses. Thanks again.

I was just wondering what a Gurk King is, what it's hide is used for and if its actually worth anything? Thanks

I went out last night and got lucky. Within 3 hours I killed 10 lairs and 4 of them had Reclusive Gurk Kings. However, none of the Reclusive Gurk Kings dropped any Hides. I was so upset.. I hope they fix the loot drops soon.

Gurk kings do drop...got 10 two nights go (2 drops out of about 12-15 Kings though....which is kinda low for what other people are saying). These were off Nest Gurk spawns. You just have to keep trying...

Seem to be dropping fine... Killed 5 kings today, one dropped hides.
Got wooly bone frags last night too so they're fine too.

Ive gotten 6 Hides off of the static spawns. Killed about 4.
Which lairs do these randomly spawn out of anywyas? never seen em do that, are they Gurk lairs? or brambles (or whatever random lair gurks spawn out of)

They spawn out of Nests only. They are the last to spawn out of the nest as it is being destroyed. There are several possible final mobs to come out of nests (destroyers, youth, king etc.) so it is hit and miss as to whether a King will come out everytime.
