Hiya, just looking for some advice from the experts
I'm a 12-pt AS on Bria, and I'm a little bit flummoxed by the condition some of my competitors are getting on their armour. As an example, I just made my first run of stun armour, with stats of 40% stun, 66% base, 77% Elec (I put a point into elec on the segment experimentation). I'm only getting around 35.7k condition, and there are AS's producing the same resists with over 40k. I'm confident that all of my resources are either the best, or close to the best, available - certainly not far enough off to account for a 5k difference in condition, I would have thought.
Is there a particular stage of the experimentation where I should be putting some points towards increasing the condition? My steps for producing the stun armour are:
Layer - max special resist (stun), then remaining points into base.
Segment - max base, then 1pt into elec, remaining points into durability.
Final piece - max base, then remaining 4pts into durability (but this doesn't seem to increase the condition at all, is that right?).
Even with my low-HAM kinetic comp, where I put almost all points into durability on the layers, I don't get close to 40k condition
I'm not sure if it would free up any points, but are there hidden decimals on the layer resists, or not? In other words, if I can get to 3% base with one point left, is there any benefit to putting another point in base, with the hope that the decimals will contribute to an extra % on base resist in the finished article, or is it just a case of getting the number you want, then putting the rest into durability? Even if that's the case, I won't be getting close to 40k.
Help me, AS forum. You're my only hope
Edit: In case anyone was going to ask, I am grinding until I get double amazings on all stages except the final piece, where I'm grinding until I get the big amazing on quality, but since the condition doesn't seem to change on the finished piece, that doesn't seem to be relevant here?

on the final combine, put your points into special resists
Crap, that's what does it!?!?! LMAO, that's bizarre! Thanks for the info ![]()
Is that likely to bump up the Elec resist to the point that I don't need to waste a point on it during the segment experimentation, too?

It seems to bump up all resists that are tied to the base resist (everything but stun).

Co'hen...why didn't you just ask me? I'd have told you exactly what I do to build the armor
Anyway, here's the break down. When making the layers max out stun resists and put the remaining intoeffectiveness to max the base effectiveness. On the segment max out base effectiveness and put one point into the special resists to get it to 11% (this will get it to 80%) and put the remaining points into durability. On the final piece max out base effectiveness and put the remaining points into special resists. This will get you over 40k on the condition.
Without putting the points into the special effectiveness you end up with 35-36k condition on the high base stuff and 57-58k on the low HAM.
That's my not to secret secret

nasty HAMS if you boost special on stun comp... must be pushing 1k for full suit?

Tremorlaine,
From your instruction on making layer for 40k condion stun armor. Max special and then throw remaining pts into condition. Wouldn't that make you loose 9-10% base on the final product?

40k condition is easy. just do everything like normal, except on the final combine, use your last 3 or 4 points on special(even thou it's almost maxed out). for example, if you make making 80kinetic/80electric/70base, after maxing out the base, you would be around 77ish kinetic / 70 base, then just use the last 3 or 4 points on special. this will push the specials to 80 and condition from 36k to 40k. 41k with 4 points. 42k with 4 points and amazing result.
my question is how do i get to 50k+ for thosearmour attachment bracers? i got to 47k regular and50k with krayt scales or segments( can't remember ). ifigure 55k/60k would be possible withscales/segments, anyone done it?

Actually for Stun armor you want max special and the rest into base effectiveness. That was my mistake.

Also, my stun duralast armor suits have 900/800/900 HAM. My Kinetic Duralast have 800/700/800 HAM.

durability is a function of quality and unit toughness, therefore if your goal is some 50-60k stuff get final combine materials with 900-1000 ut/oq.... /shrug
for bracers im assuming your more worried about death decay than actual wear and tear on said item through use... in which case 90% base would be a more important goal for armor longevity. (use decay is based on damage that bypasses said armor)

WTF are you people talking about - 50-60k condition? The highest I've ever heard of anyone hitting is ~50k, and that's on armor with ~37% base(though still 80% kinetic). I'm guessing you're fudging digits and really mean 40-50k.

i think i'm hijacking this thread.. but
my main reason for wanting 50k+ condtion is to place AAs, so they will last a little longer.
so does the integrity help the decay of the armour or does it just go into final condition?
some customers say that the 40k+ armour decays less.. i'm not sure if that is because it's tougher or just more condition?
is decay just based on the damage taken? like if you get hit for 500, you lose 500 condition?
is it better to have 36k condition and 70% base, so you only take 30% damage?
or is it better to have 50k condition and 50% base, so you are taking 50% damage?
haha.. i'm such a newblet!!!
