Thread: Questions...
I got SWG last Friday and I've got a couple questions. Sorry if these seem fairly newbish but they've been nagging at me and I have to see if anyone knows the answers.
1) Is it possible to track someone down, maybe with a /whereis command or something? It would be nice if you could enter such a command and SWG would say "So-n-So is on planet Tatooine at in Mos Eisley at coordinates xxx yyy" or something like that. I know you can use /tell and ask the person but it would be nice if it was an automated feature.
2) Is it possible to send a /tell message (or something similiar) to all your online friends at once?
3) Can creature trainers sell trained creatures to other players?
That is all I can think of for now. Thanks in advance for your answers.
1) Isn't that what bounty hunters are for?
2) Yes. I believe it's explain in your manual, which I don't have on hand.
1) if they're on your planet, it says their city.. no coordinates.. /who NAME
2) yes use /tell NAME
3) I believe so, yes
hrm and the reason why #1 doesn't work is to stop griefers and IMO the possiblity of player bounties in future.. that woudl ruine any possibility of player bounties if u could locate people so easily.. They can mail you a waypoint or send you their coordinates and you can type /waypoint #### #### with coordinates.
hope that was of some help!
/tell name only sends to one person. I was wondering if there was a way to send a single message to all your online friends at once. For example, I'm wanting to get a group together to go adventuring. I've got 5 friends online who I know like adventuring. Is it possible to send a single message to all 5 of them at once rather than sending 5 seperate messages?
I've seen this type of feature available in other online games but wasn't sure if it was in SWG.
Ok, Can you become a Jedi without using (4/5?) holo's?
Will I get a holo that tells me to be something that I've already been?
Will I get a holo that tells me to be something that I've almost been? (4443 Doc, for instance)
FS Slot opens instantly after mastering (4/5) holocron profession, or at next reset?
What if I've already been something that a holo was going to tell me to be? Is that what the silence is about?
(was told that the path I need to follow was chosen at creation of my acct, not at the use of my first holo)
Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Also, please don't flame me saying that these were all answered in a previous thread, there are 16k posts on this board and no reason to read them all.

Holo1
1.) Yes.
2.)There is an instance of this happening once, but only after they had dropped that skill without completing it. No, aholo will not tell you to become something you have already mastered.
3.) See 2, and yes, this could happen.
4.) Instantly.
5.) See 2 and 3, also, the holocron will only go silent once you have mastered 4 out of the 5 required classes.I don't believe that holocron's are unique in the class they reveal to you. For this reason, it would be logical to assume that it will go silent once you have mastered 4 classes in no particular order, but that are on the checklist to unlock FS.
There is a theory that it chosen at creation, and that may hold true. For now the 5 profession theory is the best we have.
Ok, here's some more...
If I mastered every profession, I would be a jedi, without the use of a holocron?
There are 5 professions you have to master in order to be a jedi, which may or may not be written in stone at the creation of your char/acct,butyou can only use 4 holos?
After 4 out of 5 professions are mastered, you get a holocron that is silent and you have to do guess work on the last one, which could be any of 20 other professions?
Thanks, I'm just trying to figure out what is needed/useless for me to do.
1)How much more BE% would i get if i used advanced composite segments instead of regular. Right now im getting 41% overall effectiveness and about 47%kinetic, with some average-high encumbrance.
2)What layers do you uber armorsmiths use in advance/regular composite segments? (sorry for the much overused word uber)
