Question :-
Can you use crafted BH armour to make Mando in the CU or do u still need looted items from Black Suns ????

I've gotten conflicting reports from people who's BH armor converted to "crafted" BH armor and said it can't be used to make Mando. As soon as I get info, I'll let you know.

no one that i am aware of has getten the BH schematics as yet so i'm guessing it's quest related.
am i right, weaponsmiths just get their new schematics? ah well, network for hides, network for storage, network for subcomponents, network for bodyguards, network schematics. AS isn't for the single account player. AS isn't even smart enough to use synthetic materials instead of hides or craft a complex item likea Mando helm.

Yup, like I said... AS isn't smart enough to craft such a complex item.

you can get crafted bh armor from the frogs on testcenter...if you read the description it says crafted bounty hunter armor cannot be made into mando....wait what was the question?

I made it on TC_Chilastra for ~ 2 hrs in the 2 evenings it was up (between CTDs). I have a full suit of BH Armor in live w/ some nice def mods. When I checked what the armor conversion had done to them I was a bit surprised that none of thepieces could be equipped. The description stated that the piece was a 'subcomponent' of mandalorian armor. Also, my 0 condition belt no longer was in a red box....presumably indicating it was considered a loot component. Lastly, the mods stayed thru the conversion process but the armor had no stats. This was an entirely looted suit.
I hope this info helps

Interesting. It appears that the situation on BH armor is as follows (by my guess):
There are now 2 BH armor drops? 1 for looted parts for Mando, the other a skin schematic for crafted BH armor.
What do y'all think?

That's possible (and probable), but I think the problem is that current BH armor (used in Mandalorian crafting) is converting with the description calling it crafted.

Caile, I would concur...The problem I see is that ALL current BH armor in live is obviously looted...IF these pieces are now slated to only be a subcomponent of mando armor, what happens to all of existing BH suits/pieces?...once again obtained by most folks at an incredible cost and effort...?
This would essentially eliminate all existing BH armor as wearable armor post-CU, which could then only be used to make mando...If folks want BH armor to actually wear, it could presumably only be of the post-CU crafted variety...
However, IF mando will be more easily craftable (i.e. quest schematics), I forsee the market for the pre-CU BH armor going thru the roof...
