I've seen these for sale, and heard alot about them. Where do you get the schematic for them? Is it a quested item? Or is it a geo drop? Etc etc. I've done both Jabaa Missions and Imp retreat missions but havn't gotten a psg schematic. Anyhelp on the issue would be appreciated

Think it's in the sticky. It's a quested item (very easy to do). Dantooine Imperial Outpost, back of the med clinic. Talk to the fella there, and he'll send you on 3 missions.

does anyone know how to get it if you've already completed the mission?

(ie. i did it several months ago before the schematic was added to the game)

The guy's name is Xaan (-4185 -2407) at the Dantooine Imp outpost. The quest is really easy.

The schematic allow you to 'make' 5 PSG's, or 4 tries experimenting before you do a factory run

Don't know about you, but I'm not going to trash one of these unless it's a really bad experiment. The condition alone is worth keeping 20% base ones. Of course, they'll be sold at very low prices.

I haven't sold many of these (regular PSGs), but use them all the time. And will always have some.

Have you noticed that these are harder to repair than regular armor? I rarely get a "minor blemishes" repair. Almost all are condition reducing. Considering the max condition, this is almost as bad as a complete failure.

I've never repaired one yet. Failed every time. Everytime I tried to repair it with 0 condition however.

You can't repair anything if it has 0 condition. That's why you fail all the time.

One schematic makes 5,000 count of these less the experimented schematic process correct?

Yes, but each shield requires 3 identical subcomponents. So you can only get a max of 333 per crafted schematic.

333x5=1665 total shields from the quest.

Yes, just go to the planetary record keeper at the southern outpost and reset your quests, should be able to get it then.
