My first piece of RIS (excluding the certification boots):

Considering no one on my server gives a darn about encumbrance, I went for base resists on the layers and enhancements. Yellow cube, janta hide, and some great 5% base kinetic layers (thanks Elood!). I got my money's worth on the BE brandy I was using, as four out of the five experimentation attempts on the segment were amazing and three or four (it's getting late) out of the five attempts on the final combine were amazing successes.

I left the stun and acid vunerabilites open because it's a show piece that will never see combat. I don't think I'm going to get it sliced. Just knowing even a mediocre effectiveness slice would send it to 90% base is enough for me.

Any prediction about how it would have turned out if you had used acid or stun layers (if possible)?

Check out Tuanga's RIS helmet. I can't get into imagedump from work, but IIRC he used acid and stun layers. A very nice piece of work indeed.

Any hints on finding a GDK scale. I've been out to the volcano and the imperial fort place a couple days in a row, but I've only seen regular dune kimos so far. I've got all the other components so I'm really itching to find the scale.

First off congrads on the chest plate it looks nice.

Anyone else conserned how hight the HAM is though on it? I thought the devs said it would be lower and easyer to manage then composite but a lot harder to get?

Don't be concerned about the HAM. The layers used were 100% base from the one day patch, but that meant that they were also 15/15/15 on the HAM. 45 points of that encumbrance is from the layers I used.

I also chose enhancers that raised the base instead of dropping the HAM. It's not really my preference, but the folks on my server generally couldn't care less about HAM. As sad as it is, I give them what they want, even in show pieces that will never be put up for sale.

Nice chest! Now time for me to brag

I got some exceptional rancor hide with +9% base effectiveness. Used those and triple layered with 5% base nightsister layers I got a composite chest plate made for me with 80% resists to everything (except stun) before slice. Encumberance was about 200-25-45 before slice.

I'm pretty sure I have more Interwoven RIS than anyone on any server.

I have the helmet, chest, pants, boot, and gloves so far.

I'm really very impressed with the stun and kinetic on your chest... I will definately try out your way whenI have my biceps made.
