I've tried several times, at several different crafting stations and have yet to see an option to create a schematic for FANs (cant do MCs yet). I have gone through the crafting steps like I normally would with the generic crafting tool, standing close to a crafting station and I have yet to see anything different than when i craft them normally. Any information on what I need to do to make a schematic for FANs would be much appreciated.

I am getting the same thing for mc, tried personal and public crafting stations neither is working.

You do not get the FAN schematic until Slicing II, and its found under tools, right next to the laser Knife.

Ignore me, I didn't read the post carefully...

Might try using the Weapon, Droid, and Generic Crafting Tool. Not all schemetics will show up on the regualur Generic Crafting Tool.

I'll try it today after work. If you, or someone else, wouldn't mind. Could you give me the steps needed to bring up the option to create a schematic so I make sure not to do something wrong tonight? I'd really appreciate it.

JZ, only step is grab the Weapon/Droid/Generic specilaity kit and the schemetic will show up on that one. Just find an artisan to make ya one. In all proffesions with crafting at some point certain schemetics will only show up the Specilaity Crafting Kit. There aren't any extra steps aside form getting one of those kits.

I need memory modules, but I am not a master artisan. Is it possible to buy factory scematics of items I cannot make fromanother artisan and use them in my own factory?

In short. yes. However, you have to use the exact same materials that were used in the schematic. The easiest method is to gather your own materails and have a master make a schematic out of the materials you bring him so you can then dump them into the factory.

When i make schematics for my factories. Is there anyways i can give those schematics to my friends to make on thier factories??thanks

you can trade schmatics from your datapad, but with the change on TC that limits item production to 100 i am thinking it won't be used as much. It would be easier if your friend just put you on the admin list for the factory, that way you can deposit all the required materials and insert the schmatic yourself.

plus, your friends have to have the EXACT same resources as you. This is not a problem if your just making the schematic onlyfor a friends use. But it is a problem if you intend on sharing the schematic.
