Thread: Changes to new wookiee armour...

... the latest publish said that some changes had been made to the new Wookiee armours.

Do any of you know what that change is?

I got two new suits of hunting yesterday, and even after having them sliced my 500 constitution points still isn't enough to wear them in full (i.e. all four peices). However I have a sliced suit of hunting armour which I got before the new publish and I can wear the full set. Was I just unlucky with what slices I got or could this be something to do with what they changed?

The Kashyyykian Hunting Chest plates I make after the patch have about 100/100/300 HAM more than pre patch. It looks like the devs forgot to add the helm enc to the chest when they put the armor in.

Are these the sets you got from me? They where made pre-patch and should not be affected by these changes as far as I know. I at least have no trouble with wearing my hunting armor from before 9.3

Hi Run',

Yes I'm afraid they are the sets I got from you. I posted because it was bad timing with when I got them sliced and when the 9.3 was released, I wasn't sure if it was the patch or just an unlucky run of slices. It's ironic, my slicer friend got huge encumbrance slices on the black mountain suit I got from you with them, but only small base increases on the hunting suits. Really cruel luck for me.

The very first suit I got from you is fine, had it sliced and I have been able to wear the full set. If I'd known about the patch when I got it, I wouldn't have let it taken so much punishment though!

So, with the 9.3 publish, what's a typical total HAM encumbrances on a suit of hunting armour now?

I was going to get a stat migration to beef up my mind, I might have to get one to allow me to wear armour now!

well this sorta hurts as unless i get some encum slices, i wouldnt be able to wear a full suit, as my secondary stats are capped lower then roughly what a suit's encum would be, my current pre nerf suit unsliced is 497/421/277, now i got 53 const left over and thats the max amount i can have, with added 100 it sorta puts me ina bind to get constant encum slices

although i guess the same is for other species, they get to choose to wear a helm or chest piece seperate, and for some reason the species with the highest regeneration rate in the sw universe has low capped secondaries

That's a good point and makes it debatable we should have gotten this extran encumbrance given to us, if we want to protect our bodies we don't get a choice about the helmet, and vice versa.

It seems all pre-patch wookiee armour has retained its old encumberance stats...not sure if that was intentional or not tho.

Well, the armor DaveG was made before 9.3, but seems to have gotten some silly encumbrance nonetheless. It didnt have this after I un-crated them, so Im guessing the slicing did this to it... Can anyone else support this?

What are you suggesting slicing might have done?

i can verify that prepatch armor has not been adjusted accordingly. 2 wook friends are out buying all the armor they can, and storing it for resale at a later date.

I would love to see the prepatch armor adjusted accordingly.

I'd just love to see the patch recinded. The devs can't win here because they've made our armour so that we don't have a seperable helmet/head-peice, they should have left well enough alone.

you will most likly need buffs to wear your armor now. Keep in mind that this is sposed to mirror Composite.

Wook armors where very nice on the low mind enc(the only thing that was changed) before but some dumn ass told the devs about it

Most likely the differance is in the slices you got on the armor

really bad move, this further limits our prowess as melle combatants, and i don't feal very cool doing martial arts in a horney helmet(although swordsman with a katana would look sweet)
