I should stop asking questions about the CU, I just get more and more depressed. Why even have experimentation now? They could make it so that only the assembly mattered, and it wouldn't be any different. All smiths are going to have armor with about the same stats. The only differences will be the skins...

=(

Can't remove experimentation else there wouldn't be a way to get a bad experimentation and lose resources...Since the armor is predictable we need SOMETHING in the process to make it unpredictable...

Right?.............

Actually, there are no more crit fails in smithing anymore - they took that out.

So?

DE's have had the same problem for months already.

In fact, they have it even worse.

3 lines, but only one really working

Point being our class was fun; DE needed fixed, not AS simplified.

That's only on the initial and final assembly part. When allocating your points while experimenting you can still have critical fails. It's just now the piece doesn't fall to nothing.

Crafting since Publish 5. I'm holding on in hopes the Armorsmith profession gets the love it deserves. I prefer the pre-CU system, crafting and combat. I would also like to see decay and hide gathering reinstalled into the game, as well as some epic Recon, craftable of course. And make being 12 point important again.

Renea,

Hmm... with the new resource requirements for the more different types of armor I think it has all but simplified. As DE I already have the trouble to keep a number of resources ready... But right now I'm used to it and would like even more complexity (more working experimentation lines).

Lol, in fact I'd like more usefull droids to be made

But I understand the pain.

I played a DE for 3 months at the beginning of the game. Gave that up because it was nothing but starwars LEGOs. 2 of these..1 of those...4 of that over there..wait some seconds...done.

Oh...you wanted a datapad too Mr. customer...sorry...I'll eat the resources and do it all over again.

Why would I play AS now that its the same?

We all loved armorsmithbecause it wasn't dull like DE and Architect. Their actually was calculus involved in the algorythms. Now its second grade math and this is a huge bummer.

Going a bit off topic now, but...

I like DE because it really gives me the starwars feeling. In the movies you see droids everywhere. I can't remember people (except the stormes, and the bountyhunters) running around in armor.

I think DE can be made more interesting, because with all the latest nerfs, more and more droids have been made rather useless. Someone, the simple Binary Load Lifter, has _no_ module options. It's just a big walking do-nothing-droid, only usefull to grind... (fs xp, but even then it takes a hell of a lot of resources)

On experimentation: there are 2 to 3 lines on experimentation, and only 1 of them is really active.

DE's have been asking for better/new stuff as well. More type droids, more option modules, fixes in modules and so on.

Point is, you didn't like being a DE cause you find it boring. I on the other hand like it, cause I know how droids can work and do and can make rather funny combinations (custom made) for people. Which is appreciated...

And, also, probably something that's too important for you too, you mentioned both the Arch and the DE, which are the 2 main stream artisans who are having problems with earning enough credits... Why? Buildings don't deteriate, neither do droids..... Armor sells at any time.
