In the interest of efficient armorsmithing, how close can you come to 5600 special protection on your cores without going under? (For new smiths, this is what you need to do to cap your armor.)

For me, it's 5605 on my battle cores.

Well to be a true Bob Barker Armorsmith, it's how close can you get with out going over! In that case, my initial try at cores came out at 5598!

As a side note, I acutally went to that show once. I didn't get on but sat right behind contestants row. If you ever have a chance, do it! It was really fun!

Easy enough, I actually got 5600 on an expirement (final exp) by chance and not effort. The armorsmith buffs made me consider trying to see what I could get away with as far as using lesser resources and upon the last result 5600 was what it came out to be. I just had to run a full schematic of that!

Too bad you guys arent on ventrilo with me as theguildmates who heard me laughing never didappreciate how funny it was to me.

I wish I could remember what it was that I used so I could quote the resource stats to you guys but it was something I wasnt even paying attention to when doing it. I do love the armorsmith buffs since it allows me to use up resources that have been sitting around and otherwise would have gone onto the inevitable great resource sell-off vendor someday down the road. Its just too bad finding a live musician to grant the buffs is hard.

No, I've decided that he's one of those rare, silly people who actually bid on the first showcase instead of passing it to the runnerup.

nah, I chalk this one up to dumbluck. Im the contenstant who won but when the show is over, you ask yourself, "HOW did that guy get that far?"

This result was actually the 2nd core schem I made using the segments. The first turned out to be like 5585 or 5590 or something, so I tried a 2nd time with a slightly better aluminum or polymer. Like I said in my original reply was that I did it without paying attention. My aim was for anything over 5600 on core stats and my friend I was chatting with while doing it knew what my goal was, he just didnt appreciate how funny it was that 5600 was the lowest I could get. I cant figure out how to make my screen shots smaller in size to post or Id put them up here.

Ahh, well if this is the showcase then, it doesn't matter! He wins both of the showcases for getting it exactly right!

LOL, I forgot about that! Congrats, Runway. Come on over to Scylla and pick up your prize. The lovely Diane and Holly (two of our hawtest twi'lek dancers) have an AB-1 landspeeder (with California emissions) and a nargalon (sp?) for you.

"The price is WRONG, Bob!"
Sorry I couldn't resist

Well, I can't claim 5600, but I made some the other day at 5599. It's the closest I've ever gotten to cap, but it really bugged me.
