Capt Obvious is a very good name for you, as you did in fact state the obvious.

I am an Armorsmith, But I also have a combat character. I do not understand why Armor Boots, Gloves, and Belts do not have sockets. Obviouslly this was a conscience decision on someones part to make them not have sockets.
My question is why?
Tailor Boots, Gloves and Belts have sockets. They do not have resistance and do not stop functioning from decay just like the current armor boots, gloves and belts, but they still have sockets and Armor ones do not.
People pay millions of credits for armor attachments and they do not want to put them in a piece of armor that is going to be worthless and unable to be used in a few weeks time. I put lower level attachments in my Arm Pieces, Chest, Legs and Helmet, ones I can replace easily, but not high level, high credit attachments. Who would?
The only way arround this at the moment is to either get clothing attachments and wear tailor crafter boots, gloves and belts which is not too bad since you can craft them in a color that matches your armor for the most part, problem is most Combat attachments are armor attachments so they will not work in Tailor Boots, Gloves and Belts. The other thing right now is to use pre-curb Boots, Gloves, and belts with sockets in them to put the Armor attachments, the problem with this is that you either have to take the Pre CURB color or refit them and take the Default color. I know this may seem trivial but If I am in Stormtrooper Armor, I do not want to run arround in Bone Armor Boots, or Blue Padded gloves.
Once again I have to ask.......... Why can Post CURB Armor Boots, Gloves and Belts not have sockets?
These Pre CURB Belts, ect...... are now selling for in some cases 1 million + credits. Guess what that means, Armorsmiths lose a sale on Boots, Gloves and Belts and Combat Characters have to walk arround looking like they got their armor from a junk yard. You ever seen someone ask a guy in Stormtrooper Chest, Legs, Helmet, Bone Armor Boots and Blue Padded Gloves "Hey man that armor looks cool, where'd ya get it?" Doubt it.
What does it hurt to allow players to put Armor Attachments they paid Millions for into Armor Boots, Gloves and Belts? I can not think of anything, I am curious what reason there was for the conscience decision by the devs to remove the sockets from Armor Boots, Gloves and Belts. I thought we were getting away from the "There has to be a penalty mentality" and moving on to "This is a game, it should be fun mentality".

What is the benefit of putting the attachments in boots and gloves instead of the armor itself? Boots and gloves still decay upon death. And if I was going to invest in an ADK for my attachments, I'd at least want to have it in a good piece of armor as well.

Even ifa piece decays to 0/100 it is still wearable and the mods still work, so basically they are a no decay item. As these location are no longer hittable also you won't see any extra damage when they decay to nothing

Cool, thanks for the info. I did not know that.
