Hey folks,

I was wondering if someone can help me with this... I have never used macro's before for grinding completed all the crafting by hand for Master Armorsmith and other profs, but I can't handle another natural grind after armorsmith and was wondering why my crafting macro gets cut off each time i log out of the game. Is that what happens to everyone or am I doing something wrong? i am using the 8 tool macro that is stickied on these boards and it seems to cut off the commands for the last couple tools. Sorry if this is a repeat thread.... Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm sorry Ebim, are you starting the macro, then logging off?

No, i don't logg in the middle of running the macro. For example, last night I used it to get to field wear 1. Stopped by dumping the macro. Logged out of the game to eat dinner and when I logged back into the game the macro no longer worked. When I looked at the edit page it had a bunch of lines removed and I had to go back in and fix it so it worked properly. Each time I log from the game it does this... Any ideas?????

This seems like a ui problem and not really a tailoring problem. Perhaps you should bug report if you are consistently losing lines in your macros.

Also, something similar happens to friends lists if you play on another server. Do you play on 2 servers?

I have some macros that do this every time. I recreate them from scratch, doesn't help. The icon changes and the entire text disappears (these were short little /tellpet macros). The macro system just has problems.

Ok, thanks for your responses. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't doing anything wrong from my end.... Wow... this game has bugs? First one I've run across since day oneof relase

When I first started macro'ing the macro I made was too long, and while it would work fine after I made it, when I relogged the next day the end of it would get chopped off. I solved this by breaking the macro into two different macro's that each did half the macro and then selected each other.

Dunno if this will help with your problem or not, but it's worth a shot

INteresting. I've never seen that. I know that if I try to put more than 18 macros together, I seem to randomly have one deleted. I was entering songs for singing in the cantinas, and found some were no longer available. That really sucked. It was alot of typing and timing the pauses right....

There is also the /notepad feature. You can write up your macros on the notepad and when you log out you just have to copy and past them back into your macro system (you need to remap your copy and paste keys first though).

Thanks again for all the input. I just broke it up into 2 separate macros (as suggested) that called eachother and haven't had any problems. I appreciate the feedback!

Hi all.

Got a bit of a weird one here I think. Ive got my crafting macro set up and have been trying to get it working properly for teh past hour or so, even though it has worked in the past.

Basically, the problem I am encountering is an error message saying I am already crafting even though I obviously am not (no time in my toolbar to indicate that I am) This doesnt just happen on the same crafting tool everytime. One run it will be on the 2nd one across, next time it wll be the fourth across etc. I am using 6 tools and have a 4,5 gap between crafting tools.

Really struggling to work this one out and its the one thing from stopping me from mastering doc tonight....you dont level too quickly when u only are able to get half the amount of crafting tools set up to wrk!

Could someone please post there macro so I could also check mine against theres?

I had that problem as well. One of your tools probably has something stuck in it. I destroyed them all - made 5 new ones and named them 1-5 as such and started over. Problem solved.
