Thread: Pub 20 doesn't have schem fix? Why not?

We know the devs are aware of this problem. I'm willing to bet that they borked this really bad, and that a simple hotfix is not possible. I think theyre spending hours pouring over the code looking for the bug. These isnt something that can be fixed quickly, sadly to say. No amount of whining, ranting, or petitioning is going to make the fix come faster. Just sit back and wait.
It's just not their style unfortunately. On the flipside, what we do know is that they keep close tabs on how "pissed off" people are getting and that does seem to influence their actions. Look at the CU, even ol' Smed came and posted in an effort to calm the masses. I don't think a weekly "Fix the Bugs!" thread does any harm at all. I think it lets any stray eye that wanders over this forum know we're still here, still waiting patiently, and still pretty pissed about everything; and I can't think of a better message to constantly send to them.

This is just getting so old. When is the bug with factory schems going to be fixed? I spend hourscrafting just to keep my vendors stocked. This is just nuts.
I'm begging here. Please get this fixed.

That is why you are a crafter and not a factory manager.

Yeah, we are but I would be nice to have time to do something other than craft all day, trying to keep armor in stock, only to find that it sells quicker than I can make it, atm the only solution I can see to calm it down a bit, is a price increase which I dont want to do. Leave handcrafting faction as it is but fix the damn factories!!!!

we can operate the factories just as well as anyone else... that would logically make us factory managers as well as armorsmiths
Shouldn't be afraid to raise prices boonsnark, as I have discussed elsewhere in this forum there are a couple things that determine price: cost(materials, etc..), overhead(employees, service charges, factory and housing costs), supply and demand.
Obviously our supply is lower right now because we have to hand craft them, so he price should rise. The demand is now higher too since armorsmiths are much more scarce and the armor deteriorates much faster. So the price should rise there too.
In the end it is not our fault that we make a truckload making armor. The fault is SOE for being so ignorant of the true problems with the games economy. Charge what your product is worth. If it is too expensive for most the galaxy then so be it, SOE needs to fix the problem and make armor easier to craft by not requiring such ridiculous resources. They have made the entire profession into a joke. Only a handful of the AS have the ability to make the max stats armor and that is all most people want. I sell armor that is 400 points lower than the max on my server and charge less than half what they charge, and still I am making more moeny than I really have a right to(not that I keep it anyhow, I support a guild and a town by just my sales)
So this bug, while I think it is good for us as crafter, is very bad for the economy. It makes what is already a vastly overpriced product into the realm of being ludicrous. 1.5 million for a composite armor suit....my goodness the Devs really must be "special".
I'm a little more depressed. I just uncrated some ubese jackets made right after the CU and before this whole factory-color bug. They came out in the default color. Sigh, this is why I'm on my way out.
BTW, I thought I saw the horse move . . .
Why not?
Because the game, the devs and SOE do not give a flying rat's keester about the crafting professions, the entertainment professions or any profession that does not swing a lightstick, an axe or shoot.
They only care about the teen aged boys killing things!
-Hey - but they turned the candles back on!

Yeah it's rather annoying. But personally since I wound up dealing with ALOT of custom orders on bria. I wound up not boterhing with factory runs of armor. So my output is much lwoer but my proffit margin is pretty good. I'm generaly charging bout 3x the cost of the armor. ANd it sells pretty much as fast as I stock it. Stuff doesnt sit around terribly long except when my selection gets low. Which it does. I'd probably make a killing factory running it. But. I kinda like diversity.
And its still paying well enough that i'm pretty much outfitting all my guildmates for free. (A few buy it now and then or what ever is convinent for them. But I'm still giving away tons of suits for free. Usualy get skill tapes, chef foods etc other things I need for free in return.)
