Thread: Wookiee's get the shaft...WHY?
I have no problems with different abilities and requirements for different races, but with this game's lack of documentations, a new player really has to do some research to find out what they are.
Pfft..wookiees moan when they dont have any types of armour...then they moan when they do. ![]()
I know wooks used to get a racial bonus of extra HAM pre-CU which used to make up for not having armour when the game first came out...but guess thats not so much the case now.
Some races need sorting out and if the devs ever sorted all races out to be equal then more than likely we would all lose lots of places where we would get sockets to match teh amount wooks have, rather than give the wooks more, knowing SOE.![]()

I've always been surprised by the tenacity with which the devs stick to some aspects of canon (no boots and gloves on wooks or trandos) while we have such a huge infestation of jedi. But look at it this way, you have three unique armors that only you can wear. You're not cheated. You're special!.

Actually when you first create your character and you are cycling through the different races it does show what mods they recieve in the window. Its below the description of the race.

Your a walking rug. Be happy you get those 3. How much clothes did you see Chewbacca wearing?
How many times do you see a jedi hitting a person before they die in the movies?.. right...And how much armor does Han Solo or any of them wear in the movies?...right...
GAME - MOVIES are two different worlds that only meet through sad representations of the acctual movie characters.
I'd be happy with those 3 if they were even made a 1/4 of the time on my server, instead of I'll have to do a special run for you.

But yes I agree if you are brand new those numbers really dont mean too much unless you know exactly what your gonna be doing with your char. Like I would definantly choose a sullustan if I was gonna be a shipwright. Or a human if I wanted to make artisan stuff to get to 14pt. etc.

Thanks,
But I'm on Lowca...
Lowca isn't what it used to be, and the only place to see anyone playing is in the MO, on dant. Even Cnet is a ghost town now...(no more buff lines, no more Cnet) not even any AFK dancers in the cantina.
your server's not the only one they are all like that everyone crowds to the central place and theres no need for c'net anymore

The smith should not have to do a special run for you unless he/she does not have armor padding or the particular endor wood in stock.
Wookie armor takes a core like any other skin, it just requires endor wood and armor padding at the final combine stage. As long as the smith has these available then it can be treated like any other custom skin request. Unless of course you have a particular specialised core in mind with some special layering.
IF you really want to help the smith and make it really easy for them, look on the bazaar and buy some good looted cores in your armor type, see if you can get a crate of armor padding from bazaar or tailor vendor and grab a few k of the correct endor wood, and take these along to your smith
final combine materials are as follows
Kashyyykian
black mountain (battle)
1) wooly 2) endorian evergreen 3) cloth 4) padding
ceremonial (recon)
1) leathery 2) endor conifer 3) cloth 4) padding
hunting (assault)
1) scaley 2) endorian deciduous 3) cloth 4) padding
