How do you guys plan on doing this. A flat rate or a piece of armor as a fee. I've got some people wanting me to do it for nothing and expecting it. I don't mind helping out friend and guild mates but when i pay 150cpu for hide for hunters what do hunters pay for my services???

Even that seems a little cheap. Seems to me that with the risk and effort involved in it, you'd want more. Some Geo blasters are going for like 1 mil, and a weaponsmith doesn't even need to leave the comfort of his crafting station to make those.

You guys have to get real here, this isnt a quest for real armorsmiths. Its a quest for off the side armorsmith alts.

From what we know the only involvment we have is pressing a button and thus it requires no resources, no experience and no SEAs.

Why would anyone pay you, one of the best armorsmiths on the server, to type /follow; afterwards you spend 2-3 hours watching a movie and then when you are finally at the assembly station press a button when they can just take any run of the mill never made a good suit of compo in his life armorsmiths to do the job for him.

oh and please stop dreaming of getting to keep the pieces you make and sell them.

You wont get in there without a large group holding your and and they will want you to make it for you almost free of charge since after all they looted all the components from those nasty MOBs

It was more less a joke about getting piece for piece but when I'm paying 110cpu+ for hides from hunters it's time for hunters to pay for stuff out the a$$.

They charge us alot b/c we know we make alot off our armor so why not charge them alot for what they are going to make alot off of. Btw I can loot my own pieces my AS can kick butt as well craft. Its not the point.

I would expect a full set of BH armor to go for 2 to 5 million. Mandalore I would expect it to go for over 15 million mainly because of the name. The corellian corvette didnt stop people from completing it. And look how much the schematic and engine is going for. 500000 for the scematic. 2 mill for a finished AV.

yes but the point beeing that anyone can make an AS alt and go to the DW bunker and get mando.

making an AS alt and making really great armor on the other hand is far more difficoult and thus we real smiths wont be involved because they will just bring their crappy AS alts.

Amazing how many of you seem like you can't fight your way out of a paper sack. You do realize you can master armorsmith, master artisan, and get 3/0/0/0 merchant for registered vendors AND master an elite combat profession, don't you? I mean sure, I have to find a tailor to make syn cloth and RFP schematics for me, but that takes all of fifteen minutes once a month or so to have a bunch of schematics made.

With the money you make from 'smithing you should have the best equipment and a good supply of skill attachments to augment the fact that you can't stack. You'll still be extremely combat effective. I know it's not on the save level as the Deathwatch Bunker, but I AFK macro kill GDK's. I think I'll be able to pull my own weight as a member of a combat group.

I'll go just for the experience, and for the server fame of creating a piece (or two, or three, or...) of Mandolorian.

I am master armorsmith, master artisan, master tailor and 3044 merchant so no i cant fight if my RIS pants depended on it.

Even at that you are probably going to have serious problems against mobs worse than those on the vette with only one combat mastery.

My armorsmithis currently Master Armorsmith/Pikeman/Brawler, with either novice scout or 0100 Medic depending on what hides are out.

And I'd have to say my armor is up there with the best of them when it comes to quailty.

I have a buddy that is master merchant and tailor we have a really nice setup. He likes to have an armor vendor in his tailor shop. It brings customers into his shop that wouldn't normally be in there. No I don't get the bonus of having the money directly into my bank every day but I get the credits either way, he gets customers and armor for life.

I have one account, no alts, can kick a$$, harvest my own hides, and still make armor.
