Thread: Geo Cubes/Peko Feather Appearance and RIS

From the information in the RIS guide, they are saying that Cubes are only used for weapons? I thought they were enhancers for element protection in armor.

1) If i am right, in which step do these enter into the armor? Are they segment enhancers or core enhancers?

2) If I am using cubes, can i use health enhancers as well AND Peko Feathers in the Appearance?

3) The Peko Feathers are said to have a health bonus once they are converted, so for example, advanced core can take 3 health enhancers and 1 peko feather?

4) Does anyone have any pics of the Peko Feather Appearance RIS armor? That is, if its different from the reg RIS look.

As much as I have studied the AC forums on RIS, there is a bit that is confusing. I hunt for RIS components and sell them and its important that i know how they work, thanks guys

Geo cubes aren't used in armor anymore, only weapons (DXR6b rilfes and geo stun pistols, I think).

Yellow cubes add to the damage of a weapon. They USED to add to the percentage resist of interwoven RIS armor.
Green cubes add to the condition of a weapon. They USED to do the same for armor.
Red cubes used lower the HAM cost for a weapon. Whether they lower the SAC now, I don't know. They USED to lower the encumbrance of armor as well.

You can use health enhancers (up to three in an armor core) in addition to something like a peko feather in one piece of armor. The cap per piece is a +50 bonus. This is bugged right now. The health enhancers are crafted into the core, and there are specific type of enhancers for each of the three types of armor. The feathered appearance enhancer made from a peko feather is added to the final step in crafting, when you're making the actual armor piece. The FAE can be used in ANY armor. The FAE does NOT change the appearance of armor in any way, despite it's name.

Ahh nice thanks Pyke

So, how do you get any additional stats to RIS? Seems that good material, experimentation, and health segments are the best you can do. RIS just adds high amount of condition is all. It just seems limited... or am i missing something?

You are correct. You're not missing anything.

I'll add the info on this thread tomy RIS FAQ thread.

It looks the same with or without the FAE.

Is that thing still dropping? I still have it in my list of schems and I can access it from the crafting tool, but if it doesn't do anything, I wouldn't say it's used in armor anymore. It's definitely a relic. The schem doesn't recognized new layers and only has slots for two of them.

Lol ok, the write up is just confusing, even on the official site. The same step where you imput the "visual component" you put the Feather and it even is displayed as an "appearance" component. They really should name it what it is. Something like a "Schematic Enhancer" would better identify it. According to SWG anyways.

Also,

As for Mandolorian, once you break down the items to get the components to craft the final item, according to the above picture, you should be able to make Recon(or whatever)Mando armor as long as you have the MandoAppearance Items at the final stepof the crafting. Meaning the appearance is whatever you want it to be including Mando. I just hear a bit of talk about how Mando is for looks only. According to the CU info, crafted Mando can be whatever you want it to be as long as you have the Schem, you just cant turn it into a factory schem.

No additional stats to get. I'd be more willing to use resource crates to get the best numbers possible, but that only makes a couple points of damage reduction difference. Even experimentation depends wholly on resources. So RIS is really just for looks. After all, it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you dress that counts.

didnt read the thread, but the bone armor schem works, it makes an interwoven bone armor segment, but ther is no armor that will accept the segment, so its just a fancy paper weight.

feathers are used to add +20 health to the final combine, to a cap on each armor piece of +50 health

Dont know about the cubes, but pretty sure they are for weapons...will try it out though....

I think the max health for any one piece of armor is +45 so if ya use say Krayt scales in it you might get up to +45 before even using the feather effect so it is pointless.

Havent tryed using a peko feather appearence so dont know if it changes the look or not sorry.

you're probably looking at pre-cu stuff. Geo Cubes used to have a resistance enhancement built in, but now they're used only for weapons. Used to high resistance cubes (like 12%+)would sell for quite a bit
