Please be careful of receiving large sums of money from anyone.
We are going to suspend, and then ban anyone who has participated in this dupe, which includes transfer or reception of funds.
We take this extremely seriously, and will go to great lengths to protect your play experience.

Now i know im not the only one here that sells peices of RIS frequntly. I tend to make 4-5peices a night and sell for cash at least a few. Now at 4-4.5mil a peice, that i charge for this risk free peice of RIS , this is a sizaeble transfer.
It makes me VERY uncomfortable knowing that the Devs are giong to be haphazerdly banning all that they can again cause they where so incompitent as to allow this to happen in the first place. there is no way I can screen all the people that want to buy armor, buffs or weapons from me and can the devs honestly expect us that make our gameing about our business to suspend our playing untill they get around to fixing yet another one of these huge screwups.

They simply cant do this. There's no way to stop a tip for example.
Imagine a player in his last days of his subscription. He hates this game and will never ever come back and he dupes money. So..ah what the hell - lets grief some, he tips everyone he can see and he randomly banktips people to the left and right.
So is SOE gonna ban all those who received a tip? Not likely.

hmm 2 times now i have been tipped alot by folks i did not know saying they where quitting......(looks around nervously)

If you get tipped alot of money, tip them back andsend a ticketand you will be fine.
If you do nothing and use the money, you are in trouble.
When it comes to us merchants its a bit tricker if they buy stuff from us, not sure what have been said there. If someonebuys your enteirestock on one occasion you might wanne send in a ticket just to be on the safe side.

they know who did it, tracked there transactions and watched what you did with it. it quite obivious to see what is going on. They track your trades and vendor sales very easily, even track what you drop and destroy. I doubt they will make a big mistake. They once gave our guild a complete list of who entered our guild hall, who picked up items, and who destroyed items from that building within a week time period. If they can do that, they can track creds. These idiots mistake is they posted it on another websites forums, bragging how they did it. Saw it on Imagedump today.

According to numerous discussions with CSR staff about tickets I've submitted they don't track anything, which is why they're continually unable to reimburse me or restore my lost items.
Nice to know that when they want to ban people they can track stuff though. Kinda makes you wonder eh?

weird you must be meeting the bad CSRs ... as far as everyone i know... they've had all the CSRs tell tehm that it was tracked... as a matter of fact on our server there was a thief problem problem witha medic exp +20 suit.. they were able to track down the suit and banned hte person who was holding it.. unjustly though... the suit was tlaked out of the thief and on its way back to the rightful owner.. but fact of the matter is they found the suit in the inventory of someone whos name was not offered to them ... so they have to have it logged somewhere

They can restore they can Trace, only the may not make Loot items or Player made stuff some thime they make an exeption in it.
they have track for me a surtern item over the last 24 hours it changed hands 9 times put in house pulled out ....
They can do it but they have rules of conduct and that is te problem.
so if you use your vendor for storage 99mil in every item and you lose the 50% of it due a bug or something, its something they wont help you with because vendors are not meant to be used for storage, and they can help you for sure

it has started as many "ive been banned" posts as i see comming from crafters claming this is what happened some of them at least must be telling the truth. I know my accout is at a high risk level because i deal in large ticket items so i am leaving as much of my resources as i can in houses on others lots and keeping a low credit balance so that if they ban me at least i can give my stuff to guildies with my other account as i leave this game for good.
That said the only spolit i have ever used was the leaving the bike out one and most of the times i even payed the credits then. Just often i didnt take the time to store it cause it would have ment waiting 10 min for hte next shuttle

its so bad on ahazi now if you not baned it was only a matter of luck from my understanding the way the dupping scam worked involved tips to the 14 day accounts and the fact that if you tipped them while they where LD they got the full tip.
These accounts then went to the most famous armor shops on the server and bought out there stock and then dropped the armor into the homes of the real criminals.
Our economy is basiclly shut down now and many honest merchants are suspended. Even when they are restored they fear thee reputation is ruined. Would you buy a bagged suit of armor from an account you know had been suspended?

I think only the fact that my full suits fall under the 300k mark saved me cause i noticed a few new names buying 5 suits or so. I might still get the ax i dont nkow. ill drop my armor exp suit in a friends house for now and go from there. that way at least i can give my stuff away properly insted of letting SOE steal it all
