Hi,

I have rather limited quantities of my super kiirum and as I don't wanna waste it running armour in factories its coming out slightly varied (ie 78%kin 58 base/ 80%kin 60 base)

Peeps like names which are unversal on all armour. I was trying to come up with a name for my PVE 80%kin armour and a name for PVP energy and acid armour. So neone got any ideas for a decent armour names

I call my triple kinetic armor "Heavy Footman's" armor. I have low HAM stuff that I call "Light Infantry" armor. My unlayerd composite is called "Marine" armor, but I should change that because of the faction armor.

Also my fails I just leave as "Composite Armor ...". I had thought about putting something like "Broken" or "Cracked" in front of it, but thats kinda odd, and usually I'm kinda annoyed at failing anyways so I just want to end the session.

I'd be interested to hear what other people rename stuff too...

I've shied away from the "brand name" thing because it just seems cheesy to me. Personal taste, I guess.

My chitin and ubese are "Maolinn's XX% Kinetic Chitin/Ubese - *color*"

80/63 composite, for example, is "Maolinn's 80/63 Composite Armor - *color*"

Works for me. People like seeing the stats in the name, I've found. Makes it easier to shop.

I think i'm the only guy that doesn't name his armor. I just write out the stats so they know that at least. That makes browsing easier at least.

Yeah I used to put the stats in... then I stopped. Maybe I should do it again. I guess its kind of an RP thing, but not like anyone really roleplays anyways. Mine would be like "65/54 Composite Armor Boots - Black". Kind of a pain to write out stuff at both ends of the name though. I don't do factory runs of armor so its nice to just change one thing and copy and paste. Makes it easier.

I name things like this.

Ubese ArmorGloves (74%K/16% 34/51/41) sv

this way people can easily see what the stats are when buying. AND so that later on after everything has been sliced they can still tell what the origional stats were (for comparison when buying new, to check if an armor piece was effectiveness or encumberance sliced, ect). I don't bother with color since I don't plan on stocking a large color selection .

There's nothing I dislike more as a armor user (and weapons) then not having the stats listed in the name.

I name mine using Greek letters that remind me of the layers used ... which gives people an overall idea of what I was shooting for with that armor ... and it sounds more "designer" than functional. I also tack on an "E" to the series name if I made it with encumbrance in mind (this is for the non-Alpha series composite pieces).

Alpha Series - No layers
Kappa Series - Kinetic layers
Kappa E Series - Low-HAM Kinetic layers
Eta Series - Energy layers
Zeta Series - Acid layers (Zeta because if you're not careful with acid ZAP you've lost a finger)

I'm saving Omega Series for when I come up with something that I think is the be-all and end-all layering system. Or for rare components. Or for something that I just think is the best.

So when someone requested acid layered composite, she got pieces labeled like, "Composite Zeta Series Chestplate - Armor by Earen". And when I made a suit of kinetic layered for myself, "Composite Kappa E Series Chestplate - Armor by Earen".

I also put in the description on my vendor what my name for the color scheme is like "Signature Blue" or "Sunburst Yellow" or "Blood Red" or "Tatooine Sand" (which curiously is a color I've had requested that's kinda dark yellow-brown). Once again to enhance the "designer armor" feel ... even if nobody else cares ... it's fun for me

As a joke, I named some 80% kinetic composite, "Zabrak Armor *Not-a-Jedi.* Well, jokes on me, cause now all my friends that I made armor for want the new stuff too.

I just add in Crimson Armorworks to the beginning, Add 3L if it's tri-layered, add the layer type, and put a heavy in it if I haven't done anything for the HAM. I also am picky when I make suits, and I remake Comp Chest Plate to Chestpiece and Helmet to Helm. Instead of advanced composite, I put AdvaComp, so my 80/64 Kinetic suits are named as such:

Crimson Armorworks AdvaComp Heavy Kinetic 3L Chestpiece
