I had a month where it dropped everyday it seemed. Then Quit and I lost interrest. I jsut got an order for a full suit for 150mill and Need a little input on its rarity now adays. Thanks a bunch

Well, GDK scales are the most rare drops these days. You have a better chance of getting a legendary piece of armor off of a GDK than getting a scale. There's an armorsmith on our server that gets his by exploiting the Kimo town and getting the Kimo caught on the edge of a building. That's what he does all day, every day. Good thing no one wants to buy RIS on my server. And I think he got banned.

But back to topic: GDK scale drop rate is a big problem currently, so look forward to countless hours of killing them only to get bone segments.

Are you sure 100% that they are 'Giant Dune Kimogila Scales, and not just scale segments?

My fiend has gotten 5 scales outa 6 GK hes fought( ever) in the last day. Theres guys that have killed hundreds and looted nothing. hes pretty dam lucky... punk i havnt found squat lol

there is a trick to getting them to drop the actual scale.. I helped a friend hunt them for about 3 hours one day and nothing.. got word of the trick to getting them to drop.. and BAM! first try got one.. I now have an RIS helmet

I'm not going to give it away cause I dont want half a million people to have RIS gear.. I like being unique..

I will tell this: "you'll still have to wait a long time to get the scale"
if you can figure it out from that.. you can get your scale..

the scale is about as rare as a master making factory runs of padded armor

I still don't believe it. I have tried every trick in the book, but since Jan 6th I haven't heard of a scale dropping. Before that I got 3 in 24 hours. I try looting after harvesting, before harvesting, not harvesting and waiting a minute. I've done them solo, insmall groups, in huge groups.Over 100 killed without a drop.

Either post a screen shot of your inventory, or PM me the trick so i can try it myself.

Ive also heard that it might depend on what clas you are??? cant confirm that and ive also heard rangers have a better chance of looting. Just wonderin but have any of you guys gotten the message "you cannot open a giant dune kimogila locked container or somethin when tryin to loot it" and then right after it says the usual you have found nothing on the selected corpse.. its happened to me several times whats up with that
