Thread: When the Nerfbat Hits our Profession, will you lower your prices?
There is a point where I'd stop selling armor, if the return didn't justify the effort and expense.
no....
However, i might slightly raise(20%) the prices of other armor (thinking Padded, Tantel) if they suddenly becomemore widelyuseful. Padded, if it becomes useful, would theoretically be the most expensive armor, due to the hides. If the quality (and through that, the demand) matched the resources costs, I could see the price going way up. Tantel, i can see as having a slight price increase due to rising demand. As for the others, I don't see the demand changing much, nor the resouces quantities/qualities, thus I don't see the price changing at all.

And your prices are based on your resources costs ?
Somehow I doubt it
I've always disliked you because you always fail to see the point.
1.) B/c my armor is priced as low or lower then most smiths on my server.
2.) Resource requirements will be the same.
3.) If I make top notch armor now, my armor will continue to be top notch, just on the current scale
4.) Did T21's, FWG5's, etc.... down in price?? No
5.) Freaking tired of paying out the a$$ for wooly hide lol
anyway just my opinion on the matter
I will charge what my server's economy will dictate.
prices have gone down a bit already and they might dip again.
If I want to sell out of stuff I lower the price, If I want to stay somewhat stocked I keep it a little higher. I am happy with my current pricing, where it doesnt seel too fast that I have to be a slave to my factories but it moves off the shelves enough to keep me in the black
It's not up to us what armor sells for. The only thing we control is weather we'll be willing to sell at that price or not.
I suspect prices will indeed fall, because as others have said combat types won't be solo'ing 20-30k missions anymore. I'm selling my ubese suits right now for 280k a suit, and I'll be willing to dip to 150k before I decide it isn't worth it. It all depends on what the combat types decide to pay for armor.
(and I'd like to point out as well thatfew of us are pricing by resource cost. or if we are it's like 500 cpu
)

I barely charge that much for composite.
I think this revamp will be the deciding factor ir i say in the armor business.
The lack of decent hides has been killing me.
Who knows maybe i'll just sell kashyyykian for my fellow wookies and padded as clothing
