Thread: Colat Iron
Hello,
I'm not a weapon smith, so I don't know what's important to you guys. I found a stash of Colat iron at 990 OQ. But I don't know which other stats are important to all of you. Can you tell me which stats are most important on weapons grade mineral?
And if you can tell me why those stats are important, it'd be at least fun to find out.

I'm not an armor smith by any means, but I've found some Colat iron at OQ 990. What I wanted to find out is what other qualities are important in these iron. Would very much appreciate if someone can point me along in the right direction.

Happen to be on Tarquinas? We had some 990 colat iron. Works great.
For metals I rate them on a 1-11k scale using the following formula: OQx5 + MALx3 + SRx2 +DRx1

Thanks both for the response, can I ask how popular is a 2 handed cleaver as a weapon?
Curious to see if many people make one handed or two handed weapons and if it is in wide demand.

Colat Iron in specific is used for Two Handed Cleavers. They require 100% Shock Resistance. As to their popularity, I specialize in Melee weaponry, yet I don't make Two Handed Cleavers. The Two Handed Curved Sword can be used at Advanced 2H Weapons, which is a better weapon than the Two Handed Cleavers.
However, ANY Iron with that high OQ is going to be valuable...FWG5s are one popular weapon that use Iron, and are reliant on Conductivity and OQ.
The one time when cleavers get better than 2HCS is when the swordsman is fast and has hit the speed cap, so the higher avg dmg per strike of the cleaver pays off. Also, the HAM cost is weighted towards Health vs Action, so it might be appealing to trandoshans and wookiee.
Course, regarding both of those two categories, a power hammer is still probably a better choice, unless you're fighting something witha blast resist.
