Thread: Crafting Mando in CU Confirmed.

After reading an earlier post, I can confirm the following:

I took one part of the mando crafted last month by FOE on Bria.

You break down the existing mando. It turns into a schematic craftable by the profession used to craft the armor in the DWB pre CU.

Armor Smith, Tailor, Droid Engineer.

It takes standard assault armor components, layers, armor cores.

Color Palet is totally selectable, so you can choose how you want it to look.

When it's crafted it has sockets to drop attachements into it.

You cannot make a factory schematic out of it. So mando will remain a rarity, maybe more-so after the combat upgrade.

... so hows the things changing for the DWB? u go down with all this mentioned components in the backpack and craft ur mando piece there and select colour? would mean the timers have to change for crafting.... or do u now just have to loot a schem ( maybe as DWB quest reward ) and craft the stuff up on earth? any suggestions or knowledge?

I believe it works much like it is now, you bring your components down, spend some time at the forge, and when you are ejected you have a 1 time use schematic for the piece you dropped onto the forge.

You can then put your own cores, etc into it and color it how you wish.

hmm, would make sense...... never liked the way they created the mando craft, one of the most rarest things u can get, and u cant loot it, uve to craft, but colour is random and protection is sh!t, sooo poor, fine there are schematics now to give it the worth it deserves

Now BH armour is being made via schematics will we be able to break down existing peices that were looted into schematics like mando?

Nope

I tried to break down BH armor on TC-Chilastra and you cannot. Also, you can refit BH armor but not back into BH! Only into the generic armor from the armor class.

I'd prefer it still be forced to be crafted inside the bunker, otherwise you'll see schems on trade forums for millions.

No you won't. No more than you'd see the actual helms on trade forums... which you don't, because they are so rare and hard to get that anyone who had a schematic made would go straight to the best armoursmith on the server, and get me to craft the mandalorian for them. This mando would have all the best enhancers that are available, Peko feathers, krayt scales, whatever will make the best armour in the game... then add the ability to stick sockets in it, and add your favorite uber defense mods, ADK it, and hey presto... a perfect piece of armour. Sell that? I think not

This is on TC-Bria I assume ? Did you rebuild the Mando then after the breakdown in the color option you wanted and with better stats ? I got some planning to do if this is the case.

Yeah. this was TC Bria. When we realised it could be done, our prime focus was to see if we could make a factory schematic which would have been followed by a huge letter of complaint.

We rushed the job and used the first resources we could get our grubby little hands on, safe to say the results were not that great.

Safe to say the schematic was only one use and you can choose the colors.

The armor stats take Assault Cores. This means the stats will depend on the quality of the core, your build specifications (resists) and any enchancers you add.

We are still in the dark as to the best layer combinations for most effective armor stats. I'll reattempt this at a later date.

I just deconstructed my mandohelm on TC-Chilastra, and it says that the "Appearance Schematic Mandalorian Armor Helmet" requires Master Droid Engineer to craft. I believe this to be wrong, since its the armoursmith that will be crafting the helmet, from the schematic created by the DE.
