Thread: Reasource requirement
I was just granted the ability to make Chitin Armour and it's very hard to produce even one full suit. I mean it requires 3 types of hide and 530 Bone. My question is directed to all the Master Armoursmiths or to simply anyone who knows the reasource requirements for Tantel, Ubese, Padded, and Composite. Does this get any easier because its getting pretty hard.
If anyone knows of a website with the specs and reasource requirement then by all means please post it.
Thanks for any responses in advance.
Nah, Tantel just requires Avian Bones, Aluminum and Wooley.
LOL! Yeah, it does get worse tho consider ...
You're going to need at least two types of fiberplast ... because one armor require fiberplast from Corellia.
You going to Leathery hide, Leathery Hide from Lok, Wooley Hide, Wooley hide from Yavin IV, Bristley Hide and Scaley hide ... all these are called out at one time or another specifically.
You're going to need at least three types of steel (four if you use a generic steel), and four tyeps of iron (five if you use a generic iron).
You need two types of ore, a solid petrol fuel, and two types of copper (generic and berylious).
And there is a crap load of other special resources you need. Oh, on top of generic bones, avian bones ... you need bones from Dantooine and bones from Rori.
Aint it a kick? LOL!

Zepath - Master Armorsmith, Radiant
Whoa whoa, hold it RIGHT there mister... I need ORE too? *swears in all five languages he speaks and flips the screen the finger* I just sold all the ore I had over from my earlier architect business... ARGH!
The other stuff I can deal with because I never really had any, but I just sold 6k carbonate ore 2 days ago (auctions passed today) ![]()
Relmiran,
Well I am a master and I would suggest the following:
1) I sure hope you made yourself 2 houses because your going to need the second one for hides/bones/factory crates/ etc.
2) swgcraft.com <-- Has the schematic for every armor you can make so you can get a jump on what you need next.
Also don't fret to much you need intrusive ore for composite not extrusive ore.
Well... that helped my mood a bit at least
. Now I just need to figure out which of my PA mates lots I'm going to steal for a warehouse ![]()
Man Armoursmith is way to hard sompared to everything else. First we are dependant on a tailor or we have to become one ourselves and now I find out we need all these specific reasources.
My question to you Master Armoursmiths is weather it's worth it or do you wish you had picked something else cause I'm begginning to wish i did ![]()
Relmiran,
Thats a good question, I am not really sure. Personally I would only do two of the craftingprofessions because I think anything outside of Armorsmith and Weaponsmith the products you make are the same and therefore it's a given that they will be selling stuff and very slim margins and really do you remember who you bought your first house from? of course not, there is no "My Med. Naboo house is better then your Med. Naboo house". Where's the joy in creating generic objects like that.
On the other hand, it takes a lot of time and you have a lot of issues. I think armorsmithing would be perfect if the HAM cost where trimmed to where the value of armor was a given. I love that you have to have gobs of stuff (metals/hides/bones/polymer/fiberplast), lets fact it there are not part time casual gammer master armorsmiths and therefore you sell everything you make at a good profit. I guess I would do it again but I would enjoy it more if the HAM was a little more balanced.
I myself have 3 factories, 2 houses, and half a guild hall full of the stuff I need....the scary part? I make almost nothing but battle armor!

I'm running 9 factories, 3 round Naboo houses, 4 small Naboo houses, 2 medium Naboo houses, 1 large Naboo house, and 2 merchant tents. Lot swaps can be your friend if you do it right.
