So far I've made nothing but garbage composite. Finally tracked down all kinds of nice materials and turned out a schematic for ADV composite with these stats.

Base Effectiveness 13%
Integrety 296
Health Encumbrance 10
Action Encumbrance 10
Mind Encumbrance 13
Electrical Effectiveness 23%

Should i run it to the presses or the recyle bin?

Btw, i'm not looking for miracle armor, but wouldn't mind making at least a set thats sellable.

You might want to make sure there's a market for unlayered comp. Frankly, I feel layered comp is much better for us - the resources for layers are generally not the bottleneck, and with the enhanced base and 80% layer special protection they sell for far more than unlayered.

ok.. so which layer do you suggest. my main problem is that i probably dont have the ability to get enough high quality resource to layer. If i did just decide to stay unlayered, what do you think about the schematic i got?

I honestly can't comment on the schematic, and for that I apologize. I only make triple layered comp because the KSP, wooly, and beryllious are in short supply on my server (at least the best spawns) and it's not worth it to use them without layered segments.

My triple layered kinetic segments have a base of 31%, with encumbrance of around 32/32/35. The layers themselves have a base of 4% and encumbrance of 8/8/8, so working backwards I'd estimate my unlayered segments at around 15% base, 8/8/11 HAM.

EDIT: I'd suggest posting on your galaxy trade forum to see if there's a market for unlayered comp. I know I like to use it for PvE, and a lot of docs like it because it's easier on the mind but still offers a good amount of protection. Your segments look pretty good, you may be able to carve out a niche for yourself with unlayered comp.

Ok, just made another run. Got 18% base, 16% Electrical.

Quite frankly I cant afford the hobby as it is. Chances are that I will try to pull some sort of profit enough to buy materials for padded or ubese. All the composite I see around me is Layered.

So would you suggest the 13% base 23% electrical or the

18% base, 16% electrical.

Going by an unlayered standpoint.

That one. No one cares about electricity. LLC's and vibro axes are rare in PvP, and even then can't hit anything.

Ok, i'll raise the base as high as i can, and make a run. Thanks for your help. Hopefully i'll find a buyer.

Ok, got up to a 21% base, and 10/10/12 ham. Gonna run it, and go from there.

I would suggest making a pair of gloves with this segment and see if it is worth selling before you start doing a factory run.

Off the top of my head, I hit 20% base with 9 10 9 HAM and I can't remember electrical.

This is unlayered advanced comp segments.

My suggestion in layering comp: Kinetic and Stun. Both are in high demand.

Best thing to do is make one segment and then make some gloves. That is the only way to see what the final will be. Base on that you can see what you want to do with layers and what effect they will have on the final.
