Thread: Getting very irritated.....

It's good to see the devs fixing two profession hampering bugs almost immediately after they have showed up in the game. Specifically the CH pet issues with level and elite pets and Smugglers and their crated Upgrade Kits that didn't convert.

What irritates me is that we have crates upon crates of pre CU layers that did not convert, yet smugglers are already geting their crates worked on. Let alone the fact that our health enhancers and the coloring of armor in crates is still busted.

Sorry to clutter the boards but I needed to vent......

It was stated long ago layers in crates wouldn't be converted and I know I've said it a few times myself.

If you want to get technical about it, the CH and smuggler bugs were preventing them from doing their jobs, when in fact ours are not.


From a prioritized point of view, our bugs aren't important enough to surpass bugs that prevent people from using a major part of their profession.


We can still craft armor, although we cannot mass-produce it at the moment.


Looking at it from a priority point of view, bugs that prevent players from playing are worse than bugs that prevent players from avoiding play (Eg. factory crafting oposed to hand-crafting)


Don't get me wrong, I think it sucks as much as the next guy/gal, but I see the logic in it from a technical standpoint. I won't go into the customer relations part of it though *cough*

Definately, I wholeheartedly agree that these two issues needed to be fixed asap. If the first paragraph came off with a sarcastic tone, it wasn't meant to be. I've been both of those professions over my time playing and they definately deserve some attention. Just frustrated with the other situations and the length of time it's taking to fix them.

i think stuff cant be fixed in crates because they have been eaten by the system and so there is nothing the devs can do about it

Sry but i think that you should craft all armour peice by peice.


Just like a true Master Armour Smith.

there was alot of banter about why they created stuff didnt convert. One reason was to even the score for new smiths comming in (so im told) Another was because the armour system was so drastically changed alot of it was removed from the game like stun layers,mallability,One last i heard was they didnt want a long trickle down of pre patch armour running round becaues it would mess up the new combat system with unfair advantages. Honestly i think the system ate it and they just didnt want to mess with it, so they came up with a list ready to fight us off hehe. However the trickles down would have most likely taken months due to the way alot of us mass produce and store components and creted armour. Guess they figured us ancient old master AS could afford the blow.

Right on, brother...I have been a MAS for going on 2 yrs now and have never mass-produced armor (final combines/assembly) in factories as well...May be more of a grind but I find it more enjoyable...To each their own I guess. Some of us are just masochists

NO MORE COMPLAINING ABOUT F-ING LAYERS NOT CONVERTING. So it happened, big deal. Our layers would have converted to something unusable like the armor that converted. Kinetic layers are almost worthless now anyways. Any idiot that wants layered armor can have it, but its not even worth the price anymore unless its RIS or faction, and even then....... Now people still want it, so i'll make it, but I think its a complete waste.
