Thread: Are GDK Scales Multi-Dropping? I KNOW Feathers/Hides/Bones are for sure!

Anyway, took down 20-25 WILD gurk king lairs (ones with feral gurks only) and got 15 total hides, set of 5, another set of 5, then 2 & 3.
Signed off for the last 2 nights at the woolamander palace, got 8 bones 1 drop, 3 the next, 11 total (6-7 kills of the harrowers all together probably)
Took a peko peko RIGHT after the patch cause i was tracking for a jedi and he didnt show, i got 11 feathers.
So NOW for the last 2 daysive been killing giant dune kimogilias like a MOFO, ive killed at least 25-30 at this point, and ive gotten no scale, which im am OK with since this is nothing new. Luckily hologrinding left me off with master swordsman/master brawler/nov medic/ranger 0040 lol
I just want to See here if ANYONE else has gotten a scale since pub 9and if it has been a single drop or multiple.
And Please save the flames, and telling its a bug, etc etc. i dont care. Ive been doing this quest for 7 months, i am RIS certified thanks to hologrinding and finding a scale back in the day. and have assembled 5 hides, 8 bones and 13 feathers in the last few months. So dont bother flaming or saying im lazy, etc etc Please

yes. I was out hunting dragons right after the patch and on my 20th one of so got 8.
I have also stocked up on gurk king hides as i kill lairs while im looking for GDKs and have been leaving one of my toons at the woolimader palace since before the patch and probably killed 100 of them with no drop at all

ok great thanks for the input, i guess ill keep hunting for now and keep my fingers crossed, any tips on spawn spots?
i get mine from kimo town (there is always 1)
Outside the Imperial POI (again always 1 there)
and by the volcano (my last batch of 3 on top of each other were south of the volcano but VERY near the top)

You obviously dont play on eclipse server. 25-30 gdk ? I spent the last 5 days hunting on Lok for 8-10 hours each and found only 1 lousy gdk. Tonight I had my guild helping me along with a master ranger. As usual, we hit all the recommended spots suggested above and didnt see a single one. Sigh... please move player towns or something devs.

and from what I understand the gdk at kimo town never drops a scale. Can anyone confirm this ?

Several people have come here and claimed to have looted scales from teh kimo town GDK so either they are all BSing us or that is a false rumor that would be easy to belive with the very low drop rate anyhow.
I have been finding them previous days around the volcano just driving around. Today i have only found one spawn of GDKs and dozens of the crap dragons
Where do you usualy find them?

the GDK at Kimo town does drop scales, but very rarely, I have made about 4 pieces of RIS armor total, but all 4 scales came from the GDK there. I have only found 1 GDK out in the wild.

I personallly have not any know many who are trying with 50+ but no success. Don't know.

I don't know what they did, but there really aren't many creatures on planets anymore. I remember waaaaaaaaaay back probably even before publish 1 there used to be tons of creatures all over the place. Hell, I have a screenshot of 7 kimogilas fighting each other.

Spent all day on Lok looking for GDK's today - with a master ranger combing the countryside. You know how many GDK's we found in 9 hours of searching ? not ONE outside the POI. We did find several hundred enraged Kimo's (the Jedi knight quest kimo) at EVERY spawn point where GDK's used to be. Same yesterday, and friday. Freaking ridiculous.
Looks like RIS is gonna be worthless - if the only spawn point is the POI and it drops every 1 in 100 or more, there's just no point in even bothering. This isn't epic armour, this is insane.
Instead of pandering to the damn Jedi and their need to be gods of PvP in 4 hours, throw us a freaking bone. At least having 2 or 3 scales drop off a GDK once in a blue moon gave us hope.
Tired of Jedi already.

ya i myself hunted a bunch, i do not seem to have trouble finding them, i have 5-6 spots i travel to including the 2 gurk king static spawn points i patrol and usually will easily find 2-3 without the help of a ranger (if you ride your bike with the shift key held in that slows it down and lets stuff spawn better? maybe hehe)
there was probably a 1 week period where i planted a house on lok, signed off my doctor sub account there and did nothing but hunt kimos with my main, i had FULL wounds to all stats and 1000 BF but i always managed to kill them fully buffed and drunk. oh well good luck guys
